I get retail is hard sometimes but when you work customer service and are the face of the store as a cashier it can totally drop the store experience from a 5 to a 1. "***-7 Day Return policy*** Wife went to return a brand new item we bought from the same location 9 days ago. They denied her because they said they only have a 7 day return period. That's too short considering every other hardware store in town (even the other ACE) is at least thirty days with the option of store credit after that. They don't even give credit after that. No, it's not printed on their receipts either. The manager did call the owner and approve the return-- good call. Will be weary shopping here in the future until their return policy is reasonably in line with other hardware stores. If the owner is reading this-- please consider changing your return policy to a reasonable 30 or 45 days with store credit after that, like the rest of the world. Not one star because their workers are kind and helpful. Update: called the other ACE in Town on Bluff Street to ask them what their return policy is to see if I was completely wrong, and turns out their policy is awesome-- 90 days for a full return with a receipt and store credit after that or without a receipt. I live closer to this one, but will consider driving to Bluff which happens to also have an ACE but with a great return policy. Went to that one for years with no issues."
