"Came during March (still cold) but driving through. This is off the beaten track (not far, kind of small road). Beautiful place, free blm, with outhouses. Perfect for camping."
"I was the camp host here for a few years and really enjoyed being here. Great fishing, nice campers and boaters, and the BLM guys I worked for were awesome. Time to move on to new adventures! We will be back to visit once in a while and say hello to our old friends. Stay safe out there and pick up your trash when you leave please!Don't miss the Catfish Derby, in 2022 a guy caught a 36lb catfish! That's some good eatin....keep in mind that this is a box canyon so the wind can really whip up at night. Secure your tents!"
"Awesome little spot. Rolled in around 8pm mid Dec and there was only one other camper there. Woke up to a beautiful view of the river. Lots of firewood around. New dock to launch your boat. Spots were clean. The landscape reminded me of the north of Scotland. A sign said there was no cost to camp because the sites were not being maintained in the winter. Definitely recommend this place."
"$5 dollar camping, restrooms, running water. Right on the Snake River. This part of the river is a bit too warm and stagnant for me to feel comfortable swimming in, especially with the signs warning of how to identify a toxic algae bloom. Plus a man I spoke to told me there is a sewage plant nearby that dumps into the river :(. Other than that there are about 12-15 sites, 3 right on the water, 3 above, and about 6-8 sites where you can pull your car up directly to your site."
