"Long hike is steep at first but then is much less steep. Plenty of dispersed camping near and around the lake. Mosquitos can be brutal in July they live in the trees plan accordingly. Lake is usually snowed in until late June early July. Recommend water refill at the river crossing 5 miles in. The last two miles are not as flat as you might think."
