"We recently boarded our 3yo Golden Retriever for three nights, and look forward to using them again. Facility is nice and clean, with indoor/outdoor rooms for the dogs. Also a large fenced yard for playtime. And loved the availability of a peanut butter kong!"
"We rescued a 2 ½ year-old, Wire-Haired Pointer, German Shepard mix from the shelter. It was apparent she (Fernie) had a rough beginning and we’re now her third family. Fernie started with us afraid of men, suffered from separation anxiety, had moderate dog aggression due to lack of confidence, and had limited knowledge of the basic obedience commands. Laurie and Canine Etiquette were hands down the best decision we made for Fernie. We went with the Board and Train option and she came back a different dog. Once the training period was completed, Laurie spent time with us and Fernie going over simple and effective commands ensuring we had knowledge to continue the training at home. The passion Canine Etiquette has for their craft really showed and paid off. This experience has changed our lives and Fernie’s in so many positive ways. A bonus to the training is we now have a place we feel very comfortable with to board Fernie in the future. Thank you, Canine Etiquette!"
"My husband and I would highly recommend Katherine at Canine Etiquette Academy! We took our 16 month old Boxer, Hank, to Katherine because he was having confidence issues, was nervous around people and a lot of activity. Taking Hank for a walk on leash was not much fun, for us or Hank. After just 2 weeks with Katherine, Hank was already a different dog with much more confidence and a lot less nervousness. He came home for a weekend break, so we could work with him on what he’d already learned, then went back to Katherine for another 2 weeks. The training Hank has received has been remarkable. We can walk him downtown now and be around people and noises and he no longer wants to turn around and go home. Pulling on his leash is so insignificant now, and when he does pull we now know how to correct his behavior in a positive manner. Katherine took time with us to make sure we understood the techniques she used, so that we’d be consistent with those when we brought Hank home. During Hank’s training, Katherine also trained him in real world situations that would normally make him nervous (e.g. taking him to a park where a lot of activity was going on, taking him to a track meet and for walks around town.), all to work on his nervousness and working with him to be calm and relaxed in those environments. Bottom line, the training that Hank has received at Canine Etiquette Academy has been very rewarding, both for Hank and us! S. & G. Walbert"
"Canine Etiquette Academy LLC is the ONLY place to consider when it comes to a dog who needs intensive training. Our Siberian Husky who we purchased in January 2020 was a demon dog. She was horrible. We tried so many things. I have a lot of doggo experience, and have trained dogs, but this one was out of my league. She was a heathen. We sent her off to Canine Etiquette Academy and in just 4 weeks, Katherine returned to us a well mannered, mostly potty trained pup who has now become the light of our lives. Almost 2 years later she is a fantastic family dog, loves kids, and is a mama herself. I highly recommend taking your troublesome pup here. You will not regret it!"
"Only good things about Katherine and Canine Etiquette Academy! My spouse and I have a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon (Remi - 1.5 yr puppy) with a lot of energy. We travelled to McCall, ID for vacation and we needed a place to board Remi since our lodging in McCall was not dog-friendly. I appreciated how responsive Katherine was. My wife and I are helicopter dog parents, and Katherine was very prompt and kind in answering everything we had to throw a her. She gave Remi a taste of ranch-life during his stay. She made a point to bring him on a few of her rounds at the ranch, keeping active and engaged the whole day. She does this with all the dogs! There is plenty of space on the ranch for dogs to be turned out in a corral together for constant exercise and socialization when they are being switched out with her on her rounds. In my opinion, the biggest benefit to Katherine's operation is that she will accommodate custom eating schedules and custom sleeping arrangements as best she can. This was huge for us. We have boarded Remi and a few other places that keep dogs isolated in concrete or chain-linked kennels and only feed according to their set schedule. Lastly, she is a an amazing photographer as well! If you're lucky - you will get some beautiful pictures of your pup!! Many thanks to you Katherine!! We have found Remi's home away from home whenever we visit central-west Idaho. Best, Eric, Jess, and Remi :)"
