"We had a few great years bringing our cat to this vet. Most of the staff has been great, and treatment costs have been pretty reasonable. However, this last experience has me considering other veterinary options for him. We took him in because he had been puking frequently. The doctor gave him some sort of steroid shot and they said they’d call in a week to see how he’s going. (Even though they said the shot could take up to two weeks to take effect.) A week and a half went by, I thought maybe they were waiting that full two weeks to touch bases with us. Two weeks went by, so I called them. Told the assistant he wasn’t really getting any better. They said she’d relay the message to the doctor and call us back to provide our next course of action. We never received a call back, I tried calling again myself and was not able to get through. Now it has been months and I discovered my cats puking could be related to anxiety. It is so unprofessional to not follow up on an animal that is actively sick!"
"This is going to be lengthy, but if you love your fur baby, i promise its worth the read. I've been coming to VCA for years. A year ago, my dog was diagnosed with vestibular disease. Dr Reigm ultimately ended up killing him. He had labs done in December and his numbers were all fine. He put him on meds to get him through the vestibular and continued to increase the medication for lingering effects. I questioned it multiple times and I wish I would have listened to my gut. But I know you cannot just stop gabapentin. I called so often, they knew me and Huey by name as soon as i started vocalizing my concerns. Over a month later, I finally was allowed to speak with Dr Ramirez and she said he was on far too high of a dose and instructed me to wean him off. We ended up in the er vet 2 days later and I was informed his liver and kidneys were in complete failure, and I ended up losing him that night. In one months time due to the combination of the galliprant he put my dog on, alongside the ridiculously high dose of gabapentin- he went from normal labs, to complete liver and kidney failure. All due to Dr Reigms ignorance. The er vet informed me this was absolutely preventable, and he should have never been on the doses of meds Reigm had him on. It took me a long time to write this, to ensure I could refrain from being too harsh. Fast forward to today, I brought my other dog in for an exam with Gutting (and I have made it incredibly well known to under no circumstances schedule me with Reigm) to have his anal glands checked. We checked in at 430 pm. I asked questions that they refused to answer, they took him to the back and I was checking out 8 minutes later. In total, we took up 8 minutes of their day. And I was charged $140. None of my questions were answered, and I was met with blatant attitude and cold shoulder when I questioned their pricing. If you want to pay a ridiculous amount of money to be rushed, disregarded, and allow someone to take your pets life away unnecessarily, this is the vet for you. Reigm shouldn't be allowed to work in this field. And none of these people should be allowed to be this greedy when they can't even perform their jobs properly, thoroughly, or without attitude. I'm disgusted, and disheartened by the experiences I've had here. What I will say, is I do believe Dr Rameriz is a good vet. She stepped in to help me when everyone else refused to listen. In fact, since i lost my dog, she has seen my other dogs. And aside from the frequent price increases, general distaste for Reigm and Gutting, and poor front desk demeanor.. I would be fine with her continuing to see my dogs. But I have absolutely nothing else positive to say about this facility."
"We love this place. Our fur babies have been coming here for 5 years now. They are always so gentle and amazing with them. They always keep us informed on what's going on. I love the front staff also! Everyone is super friendly. EDIT vet is great unless your pet gets sick. Then they won't see you cause of no availability. Done with this place."
"Dr Rogers was the most amazing surgeon for are blue heeler puppy Cooper. He fixed a bad break in are little guys leg and has answered all of are questions with such knowledge. His nurses and front staff are great! They greet us everytime with care and compassion. The vet techs are so very caring. Thanks to Dr. Roger's and his amazing staff."
"When my Golden Retriever, Maxey Poo, was sick a couple years ago, they got him in right way. He had a bleeding mass on his spleen, and either needed an emergency surgery or to be euthanized. They did surgery right away. They took out his spleen, and recovered him over night at a neighboring hospital. Here he is 2 years later, at the young age of 15 years old! Still thriving! He's my best friend, and I'm so very grateful for these extra years I've had with him because of the care he received at VCA! I can't be more grateful."
