"Brought our cat in because she had blood in her urine and we had to wait 4 hours to see a vet. Then we had to wait another half an hour for test results. The staff was nice, but I only recommend coming here if you’re willing to wait."
"Our cat was experiencing a sudden medical issue 3 days ago, so we brought him in for an urgent evaluation. Yes, there was a wait of about 30-40 minutes, but considering we walked in, we were expecting that. Both the doctor and assistant were caring, efficient, and thorough in discussing the details of our pets medical diagnosis and treatment plan. We appreciate the fact that North Idaho Animal Hospital offers emergency appointments and that our feline family member was well taken care of. Thank you!"
"WARNING! Do not take your pets here if you love them. This place was an absolute nightmare to deal with, I can't imagine if I had a real emergency. I took my dog in to get a hole in his back looked at. His normal vet had been booked through January and we decided to take him to the Urgent Care section. We thought it was a cyst that burst or maybe a puncture wound from playing. My significant other, dog, and I waited for 4.5 hours to be seen. We would check in with the front desk every hour to check on the status of when we could be seen. At about 4:30pm, frustrated and tired, we asked if we were going to be seen soon as we needed to get home and take care of the family, or else we would have to leave. One nurse said we can see you now, and another nurse loudly exclaimed, "Oh good. I won't have to rip up his paper work then!" Extremally unprofessional and rude, especially when we didn't come in with an attitude to warrant such a remark! Once we were in the examination room, the doctor and a vet tech came in and glanced at our dog. He barked because he was excited, not an aggressive bark. Immediately the vet tech said "We need to sedate him in order to look at him, he's too aggressive." No questions were asked about what we were there for, no visual examination, nothing. Just jumped to needing to put him under. I refused and they suggested giving him medication to calm him and come in the next day for an examination. Then they quoted me $600. I am very disappointed with the way they handled my dog and how utterly unprofessional they are. I would HIGHLY recommend going anywhere else to have your pet looked at, and don't go there if its a true emergency."
"I brought my dog in yesterday to be seen for an emergency vet appointment. The staff were really kind and helpful and fit him in the same day. The vet was really knowledgeable and gentle! He’s already feeling so much better! I highly recommended them!"
"I want to say thank you! From the first phone call to every single person on staff today we are sincerely grateful! Our Pup needed some quick TLC and you guys delivered! I appreciate you treating our Loki like he was your own!! He’s on the mend!"
