"John and his team are amazing! Construction of any kind rarely goes smoothly or as planned, but John and the guys are very patient, adaptable, and extremely capable! It’s hard to find people to do odd jobs these days, and likewise it’s hard for these guys to bid some projects. “Can you fix my faucet?” can quickly turn into “Can you remodel my entire bathroom?” In my experience, John and his team not only do what they say they will they do, they make sure that it’s done right.... in addition, they took amazing care of my clients home and possessions. The project lasted three days longer than it should have but not because of them... it was me! “John can you add this?” “Oh and can you fix that?” I hope John’s next customer can forgive me ;) Thanks John! "I schedule a time for John to come and give me an estimate. He didn't show up. Follow up had him delayed at a job by several hours, so he had to reschedule for later that day. He also didn't show up because his next job went over by several hours. We rescheduled again. When I finally got the estimate it seemed to be very low and I was happy at the money it would save me. We scheduled the job. He again didn't show up because that job went over by several hours. I asked him if his jobs normally ran over and told him I wanted a firm estimate in writing, because it seemed to be a consistent theme of him running over his estimated time. He promised to call me back and reschedule, but he did not. I never got answers to my further messages. He obviously wasn't willing to stand by his estimate. With good reason! If you decide to go with this company, only hire them with a firm estimate in writing. If you are being billed, it's likely they will go over on the time from everything I experienced. Other contractors that came out told me it would be impossible to complete the work in twice the time he estimated. (Four hours to cut and regrout an enormous kitchen counter over 20ft long? I believe them!) Don't be taken for a sucker. Get it in writing, or be prepared to pay a lot more than you were told."

"Samuel Lewis, i wish i had seen your review before my sister hired this company. I will not disclose her name or other info, because at this time she is still waiting for them to complete their job... This is probably a 1 day job, nothing to complicated. She called this company quite a while ago to complete this project. The project is not in our home so we have not met John or his crew. I am hoping the quality of work will be as excellent as other people have said but, I agree with Samuel, quality of work is not the only metric for a satisfactory experience. My sister never received a quote through email as requested for the total cost of the job. The followup and communication is very poor. We went to ***** Hardware Store to pick out **** for this job after already purchasing non refundable equipment at the re-store that can not be used... The carpenter did not take any notes when he was first at the job site giving us an estimate. How are we supposed to know what to buy if he doesn't... I feel like he did not properly communicate what we needed to buy at the start and now I am just hoping we have what we need. We had to call and ask a couple surrounding neighbors, surrounding the job site to give us a better idea of what needed to be purchased. My sister and I still do not know if we have purchased the correct ***** for the job. The job site is not at our home, the carpenter has already picked up the **** from hardware store and delivered it to the job site. I do not know what will happen if what we bought is incorrect. I really wish we had just hired someone else. We will probably never use this company for anything again. If and when the job does get completed, i hope that my sister will not have to deal with the financial accounting that other customers have rated to be so terrible. I can not in good conscience recommend this company to anyone."

"John and his crew put a new tile floor and cabinets in my laundry room. The work done was perfect, and the crew was extremely pleasant to work with. John kept me informed of each days activities, and all work was done on time as scheduled. I am extremely happy with this company and will use them again for future projects."

"I had a water pipe break inside a wall between my second bedroom and bathroom on May 18th. After the clean up was done, I was working with my insurance trying to find a contractor to do the repairs. I was not having much luck. I made a phone call to Total Handyman and John came over that afternoon to give me a bid. He was professional but more importantly he was compassionate and could see the stress I was experiencing. He said, "I will help you with this." and he did! He had 2 crews here the following day working and he did the negotiating with my insurance! He took over everything! I cannot thank him enough. This was overwhelming to me and John made this easy. A week later I have a beautiful bathroom, the closet in the bedroom repaired with new walls, carpet, and the double sink in the master bathroom reinstalled with no damage! His crews are excellent! These kind of people are what you hope to find! Thank you very much John, Jerry, and all of your crew! I highly recommend Total Handyman!"
