"SUD (Substance Use Disorder) is a serious disease that requires the assistance of educated, compassionate and empathetic individuals to navigate and conquer. You will receive the help you need at Break Through if and when you are ready to live a substance free life. PHP (partial hospitalization program) is available during the day and the evening. It is time consuming but a necessary step in recovery. You will be surprised how fast you move through this section on to Intensive Outpatient then Outpatient. No one is let to ‘slip through the cracks’ as another review stated. Each client receives one on one therapy. There are book studies, massage, yoga. EMDR is available if the staff feels it is necessary for your recovery. The facility is immaculate and up to date. Every employee and outside contractor is heavily vested in your recovery. Counselors. Group Leaders. Medical staff. Reception. Director. Yoga Instructor. Masseuse. You will rarely meet an employee there that is not in active recovery. In other words, they get it! The staff meets on a regular basis to review all clients. My group leader noticed a shift in me and asked staff to keep an eye on me. I did relapse soon after because I didn’t reach out for help. And yet again later in the program. Both times I ignored the warning signs. Each time it was handled professionally and compassionately but firmly. I knew that that second time was my final or I would be heading back to Inpatient. I am now 10 months sober. Was it easy? Hell no! The hardest part is walking through the door for the first time after finally choosing your recovery over addiction. Recovery does not look the same for any 2 individuals. Break Through operates on this premise and will guide you through to a life that even you didn’t imagine you could be living."
"My experience there was great! 2,243 days and counting thanks to many of the tools I learned from the excellent people there at breakthrough."
"Chris Jacobs is evil. He threatened me and multiple other women who were there for treatment. He scammed my poor family who were just trying to save my life out of $30,000. He played favorites and was very very mean in general. He lost his temper on people who were trying to get clean regularly. He told me of my diagnosis by calling me “miss borderline” my precious items were stolen by a girl 6 years older than me. Nothing was done. I watched staff force a 52 year old woman who was in bad heroin withdrawal (her skin was purple) to work out at the gym. The therapists and nurses are extremely under qualified and very unprofessional. Overall a horrible experience. If you want to save the life of a family member or child, do not send them to breakthrough."
"The staff at Breakthrough are very professional and friendly. The group's I have found to be very therapeutic, insightful and engaging. I have learned alot about myself and can use the tools they have given me to practice in my daily life. The building has a very calming feel and every time I have ever walked in I have been greated with a smile and felt like I was safe and welcome. I especially like that Breakthough has a family feel to it. The staff go above and beyond in all areas. I would highly recommend Breakthough to anyone with an addiction problem or underlying trauma."
"My experience at breakthrough was absolutely awful. it costs a fortune and groups only consist of watching movies, completing worksheets, etc. There is little to no therapeutic value to the groups the counselors care very little about the patients, often letting them "slip through the cracks" those are their own words they used to describe events that happened. The counselors have very little knowledge on the subjects they attempt to teach, as some of them aren't even in recovery themselves. Do not waste your money or time here, the care you will receive is less than satisfactory. In this industry lives are at stake and breakthrough does not seem to take their patients seriously. If you are serious about finding help for recovering from addiction, this is not the place to go."
