"USPS as a whole needs to go bankrupt. Items from CA goes through OKC thru Wichita almost to Kansas City then my item the day comes back to Wichita. Package from Georgia, not scanned 1 time but was delivered 2 days later than should have. If it happened 1 time, okay, but it has happened multiple times. My carrier will not put the latch down to hold the door closed after people throw items and ruin by box, I am not going to install a new box every week."
"The folks at Valley Center post office are awesome! They are always so helpful and they go out of their way to help. I really appreciate them!"
"We have lived in Valley for a little over three years, and have had nothing but bad experiences. We have had a few refund checks from various things come in through the mail that “never showed” even though it came up on my informed delivery. They threw a box containing new glasses and contacts in the middle of our driveway last summer. Always missing important mail even though it comes through informed delivery, and our neighbors never see our mail either. If I didn’t have to use USPS, I definitely wouldn’t."
"Our sensitive mail -to include medication and checks- keep getting delivered to different addresses. We received our checks opened, medication delivered from a neighbor (our correct address on the package) and when they don't feel like delivering our Amazon packages on Sunday they mark that they are unable to get to the mailbox, door, or driveway when there is nothing blocking any of those things! Most of the time we do not go into the PO unless we absolutely have to because their customer service is lacking. I'd just like for all of my mail, especially my SENSITIVE mail, to be delivered to MY house."
"I have multiple family members and friends who work for USPS either presently or have in the past, so I am completely sympathetic to the amount of BS they put up with on a daily basis. However, that does not absolve the pure lack of customer service and professionalism that I have experienced with this post office. The first time I made a trip there to grab some stamps, I was not greeted by anyone and the woman there even rolled her eyes and walked away as I approached the counter and let another man help me. Very few words were exchanged and you could sense he hated his job. I had my toddler son with me. My son was trying to speak to the man and say hi, and he was completely ignored by the man. Then the man rudely said to him "I can't understand a word you're saying". I was appalled at how he spoke to my son who was only 3 at the time. The majority of my experiences thereafter were phonecalls about lost packages, packages that were scanned "delivered", but never actually were, and packages scheduled for pick up that were not picked up (a few more frequent problems in and of themselves). Each time I spoke with someone, they were very short and sounded utterly annoyed to have to do their job even though I've always been very kind and understanding as I know a lot of these issues are no faults of their own. I've also been charged some hefty postage due fees ($10-$15) for delivery issues that were beyond my control. I will say that the majority of the carriers I've encountered are great, and I usually have very little issues unless it's a temp or new carrier that isn't very experienced yet, which is to be expected. But when there ARE issues, I nearly cringe at the thought of having to speak to someone because I know the type of customer service (or lack thereof) that they provide."
