"I was really happy that Thomason Counseling was able to get me in very quickly when I needed a new therapist. However, when I started experiencing a new condition that my counselor was unable to treat, I raised concerns to the counselor and to Shane, the owner and supervisor. He offered to take me off the schedule, so I requested a referral, and I was told was “try psychology today.” Not a helpful experience to be discharged with no follow up/referral to someone equipped to treat the condition."

"I could sum up my review in four words: Shane is the best. However, since that's really not very helpful, I'll add a few more words. Mental health is a common struggle; and for some of us (*cough* me) it's a struggle that can impact every piece of your life. I had basically given up on ever being able to be truly happy or "normal" again when I met Shane. Shane genuinely listens and never makes me feel judged. He balances utmost professionalism with his genuine compassion and willingness to talk through any problem from the mundane to the more extreme issues (all of which we have covered in our sessions). He provides a safe place for me to bring and leave all my issues and for that, I am and always will be, eternally grateful. Honestly, I could write a novel about the difference that Shane has made in my life but that could get awfully long so I'll just say - if you are looking for a counselor, call Shane today.
