Aspen Park Apartments 8405 West Central Avenue, Wichita, KS 67212

"There was black mold everywhere and water coming out of my ceiling on a regular basis. I had to ask maintenance to come fix it MULTIPLE times and they keep telling me it was fine. After I called the corporate line they came out and spray painted the ceiling white (see pics) and didn’t address the leak at all. They acted like I was stupid the whole time for wanting it fixed. One of the maintenance guys was like “what do you expect me to do with this?” SIR? THERE IS AN UNWANTED WATER FEATURE IN MY CEILING? Maybe fix the leak? It took MONTHS of fighting to get it “fixed.” By that point there was a huge hole in the ceiling from all the water and there was an insane amount of black mold growing under the drywall and it was starting to grow all over the ceiling too. Also maintenance would enter my apartment without notice or leaving a note. The only reason I found out was because one day they left my front door unlocked so I called the office to see if anyone had entered and they said yes that maintenance has entered my residence that day. When I told them about the unlocked door they just said “ok and?” Like… ???? Another time I came home and my neighbors cat was inside my house? Not sure who put her in there or why but that was weird. My neighbor also smoked so much - and it came through the walls - that all my clothes and possessions smelled like I was a chain smoker by the time I moved out. I personally have nothing but awful memories of this place lol. Zero out of five stars, do not recommend."

"I am a retired disabled Navy veteran. My application was cancelled recently because they wanted me to provide more source of income after I summited a source that covers much more than enough for rent. They didn't even bother to check my credit score which backs up my source of income. I was denied because it is "policy" that they must have more proof. I wasn't given any other options or opportunities that are clearly stated in the policy document. Now I have to wait for 1 month till I receive my deposit back minus $60 for the application plus $9 of service fees which is absolutely a scam. Stay away from this company if this is how they treat retired American disabled veterans."

"I had a great experience staying at Aspen Park. The apartments are located in a pretty safe neighborhood and is adjacent to a lot of restaurants. Major shopping centers were also within 15 mins of driving as well. The staff at the office were very friendly and helpful, and maintenance requests are fulfilled in a timely manner."
