"I have been a patient at RCPT for over two years for various issues. I am now working with James Wolk and Michelle Larson - preparing for knee replacement surgery. They are diligent and caring - I enjoy my time and Michelle works me very hard, knowing that I want to recover quickly. I would NEVER consider a different business for my health needs. The office staff - Vicki and Meredith - are very caring and helpful. The other PTs and staff are amazing. I am greeted by name by everyone and the staff cares about me personally. Thank you to all of you!"
"River City Physical Therapy operates in exactly the way a patient-centered, evidence-based healthcare facility should function. I have been recovering from rotator cuff surgery. Given what I hope to again, I have been seeing the people there twice a week for several months. The following observations have been consistent through this entire period. - The caregivers are just that. Yes, they are skilled and knowledgable physical therapists and APTs. That is evident by how they track progress, move recovery forward on a linear path measured by their charting of increased range of motion and pain points. They apply sensical, logical evolutions in movements and they happily prescribe home work. When working with people after surgery, they carefully study the images of the injuries and repairs and they consult with the surgeons. These are the basics and greatness is only built by achieving excellence at the basics. - River City’s caregivers go beyond the basics. My primary P.T., Ben Wardell is cheerfully curious about the whole person, he genuinely seeks to understand his patients and their lives. Ben applies this to his care as he talks through activities we can look forward to practicing again and suggests timelines for that. In addition, Ben seems to enjoy helping us with our states of mind because most of us are not jazzed that we need P.T. Though he is a fantastically athletic, muscular young man, I have never felt diminished or judged as an older, rounder, former athlete who still likes to do hard physical things. Ben appears equally engaged and at ease working on elite athletes, elderly people in recovery from hip replacements. Perhaps most importantly, given the physical work he does on us, Ben is always keenly tracking our reactions and knows when things are getting uncomfortable, he often checks in verbally when he sensed the need. - My secondary caregiver has most often been Kassandra. She is easily, casually empathetic and encouraging. She is also detail-oriented and carefully tracks progress. Kassandra laughs with clients, helps us see progress when we can’t see it on our own and she is not shy about asking Ben for a clarification or input as she works us through exercises. Like Ben, Kassandra is curious about the whole person. - Culture comes from the top. The owner of River City, David is a proactive maker of culture and nurtures community. He is consistently available and still does patient work. You will notice the Christian music and some biblical quotes in the clinic. You will notice a sincere love of neighbors and care that goes to the soul as well as the body. Culture starts at The Top."
"Therapist's were good office staff however was not. Went there for several weeks. I told them I would use all of my allowed visits for the year with my insurance as long as it didn't cost any out of pocket. They assured me it would not then they sent me a bill for $200. I won't go back there again."
"Erin and Cody have been able to help me more with my ankle than any physical therapist has in 40 years of many surgeries on it. After giving up on PT she has renewed my faith. In addition they were able to fix a severe muscle problem that had plagued me for a year. No kidding, actually totally fixed it. My quality of life has been improved by ten fold. Everybody at River City Physical Therapy are so helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend them to anyone. (PS I don't ever write reviews!)"
"My first appointment with Erin was amazing. Best PT I’ve had in 10 years of being treated for orthopedic surgery rehabs. She is so attentive, kind, caring and knowledgeable. I look forward to my future appointments."
