"Just had our wedding we fell in love with the building and all it's character. We had an amazing time with family and friends. I'm giving a 4 stars because I was a little disappointed because our friend had to vacuum the reception area even though the owner said he did but it didn't look clean. Then we hired him to MC and do music but if we wanted to change music or anything he was just found in his office so I felt like that money wasn't really worth it. Definitely recommend using an actual person to MC/DJ your wedding and music. Otherwise we really liked the venue."

While El Torreon stands by itself in it own unique rustic yet modern style, it also serves as an empty canvas for your own special flair and design. Not many event spaces will allow such creativity! Also, for any history buffs out there, this place packs its own wallop of KC history and culture. With reasonable rates, flexible spaces, and EXCELLENT staff and management to handle your event, choosing El Torreon was the best first decision we made in wedding planning. Would hands down recommend to anyone planning any type of event. PS: Union Station and the WWI Memorial are super close for taking pictures there."

"Not your average wedding venue! Lots of vintage touches. The building itself is very interesting in layout. The bridal suite is very bright and white which is perfect for hair and makeup. The groom room is very unique and styled so well. The ceremony and reception space ceiling is black, so choose your photographer carefully. Lighting can be tough! My favorite thing about El Torreon is how varied it is- every corner looks a little different, which makes for interesting images."
