Legacy at 50th Apartments

"One of the worst leasing experiences I've had. The ONLY things this place has going for it is proximity to the Green Belt. We lived in E203. It grows mold everywhere (see photos). We were told this was our fault for not running the central fan 24/7. Which is absurd. Our power bill was crazy every month. We were constantly wiping down surfaces, trying to stop the growth. Ventilation was a major problem in our unit. We paid our rent every month on time. They charged us a fee for something and didn't clearly communicate what it was for. We couldn't get clarification on it so we just continued paying our rent in the usual amount. The second month of this, they took a portion of our rent payment and used it towards this $50 fee. Didn't tell us and our rent payment was left "incomplete." A few weeks into that month, they hit us with an eviction notice for incomplete rent. When they explained it, I offered to just pay that $50 fee, but they said we had to pay almost $600 now. Absolutely predatory leasing practices. The carpets were old when we moved in and we washed them ourselves every 4 months. We did professional cleaning before we moved out and they still billed us almost $500 once we moved out in excess of our security deposit. Total nonsense. Avoid this place."

"Apartment was forsure not cleaned before I moved in well. Laundry detergent was spilled on the ground in the hall and somehow it was never cleaned before I moved in, with other messes too. They are very hard to get ahold of so don't expect same day returns on your calls. I seem to be charged a $50 fee each month on top of my rent for "Paying my bill online" along with a $5 convince fee. Not paying with a credit card but I still seem to be shared this extra fee, tho it was never mentioned in the lease. The area is a nice area tho!!!"

"I cannot strongly enough warn you- do not rent here. When we moved in last fall the apartment was not clean to our standards. The carpets were covered in dog hair, so we cleaned the place ourselves before moving in. In April of this year my boyfriend, who is in the military, got orders to report to Texas in one month. We gave the apartment our notice & took care to thoroughly clean our place after we moved out in order to get our deposit back as well as to leave it in better condition than when we found it. After calling the management several times a few weeks later asking for the status of our deposit, we received a letter in the mail dealing multiple charges such as "heavy move out clean", "lock change fee", "batteries for smoke alarm" ($56?!), & "move out supplies". The list totaled exactly $600, our security deposit. Additionally they charged us another $250 for failure to give adequate notice, which is actually illegal as we are on active duty military orders. We have since left the apartment office several voicemails informing them that we will be seeking assistance from government attorneys regarding this. We have yet to hear back from their office. Don't... just don't..."

"I lived in a 1x1 unit for a year at Legacy at 50th and my experience was great! I lived in Boise for 3 yrs and this apartment was amazing compared to others I have lived in. Nicole at the front desk was awesome to work with as well and she is very kind and responsive. The place there is right along the greenbelt and the river which is super neat! It was like a gem tucked away in the back and quite peaceful. I really enjoyed my stay there and would highly recommend. Was sad to leave due to work during the pandemic but hope to come back soon!"

"Love it here ,except for the fact that our apartment seemed clean but upon closer inspection we found dog hair EVERYWHERE. Otherwise seems very well kept. Quiet area. Police department is walking distance. Greenbelt right behind apartments. Everything is relatively close driving distance. There is also a church walking distance. Only a few months in and overall pretty happy. Will update if anything changes. Parking is first come first serve but there is plenty of parking never had issues."
