"Included in unavoidable reoccurring costs is the technology package currently at 75$ monthly. This is public neighborhood wifi with an obscurely minimally secure password. Prepare to buy a vpn service with additional costs or go through the work of setting up an external hardware firewall for yourself. At this rate I am paying the same cost for Starlink satellite service as I am for community Wi-Fi enrollment I cannot avoid paying for. My starlink network is at GB speed and my download speeds are almost double the community network provider at a low traffic time of day. In 2024, the cost proportion to service rendered is shameful, I would expect this standard to be offered free to all residents because of the security threats using it poses in the first place."
