Delano Park

"Beautiful place to sit by the river."

"Nice little bench area at the corner of Douglas and McLean, at the west side of the bridge crossing the Arkansas. This is less of a park and more of a rest stop of a few benches for people on foot heading into or exiting West Downtown Wichita. It leads to walking paths at the river and has a nice view of the city. In its center is the Longhorn on the Chisholm Trail sculpture but unfortunately much of its view is obstructed heavily these days. The small, circular area also has a landmark dedicated to the historic Delano Township. Everyone will enjoy passing through Delano Park while headed to many great Delano and downtown adventures."

"This area was recently revitalized and cleaned up. It's now a great walking path that connects to the river and the small boating docks. However along with every other attraction in the area, the homeless population brings crime so be vigilant."
