"I have done the paid Geiser Grand tour with family members visiting from out of town. I was amazed to see how dirty and dusty the hotel foyer and common areas were. I expected much higher standards and cleanliness. On a separate occasion, with another family member visiting, I went into the hotel to show him the beautiful ceiling and was told we could not be inside the building at all. Not welcoming and dirty. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel."
"Full disclosure, I have worked here for 8 months. Barbara has been nothing but professional with me. The food is great and the rooms have been clean every time that I have needed to be in them. Barbara also pays me the best I have been paid by any employer in my life."
"While I have never spent a night in those hotel so I can’t make a comment about that, I have lived in this town my entire life. The food here USED to be amazing when I was younger. It was my go to birthday meal. However, as time has passed the quality of their food has tremendously gone down hill. It’s either not cooked all the way or completely over cooked. There is little to no friendliness in the staff and they all appear to be miserable when interacting with them. I don’t think it’s a terrible place by any means, but it’s definitely not what it used to be and that’s disheartening."
"Highly recommend! Just a delightful place to stay! Fabulous, attentive and welcoming staff, delicious food (both in the dining and bar area), dog friendly, dog beds and dishes available, rooms spacious & clean and beds very comfortable. Great amenities in each room including coffee pot, robes & a frig. This place is a gem and we stay here frequently when traveling from WA to ID."
"Ate here, didn't sleep. Food was above average for the area but not stellar. Green beans were too firm and the prime rib bland. The ribeye and filet were tender and tasted great. Buttermilk chicken breast was good. Desert was the highlight of the meal. For $316 with the tip I would have thought we would have been blown away. Sadly it was just above average. There's two places in town that serve better tasting steak at half the cost. Still it was fun and placed in a grand refined historic hotel that felt fancy. The staff were friendly and service paced out well. I would say it's worth it to eat here once, just for the nostalgia. Our regular nights out still remain about three blocks north on Main Street though as they have a much more refined flavor profile for their food."
