"Today was a fun one! My husband and I went adventuring in our rental truck and almost made it to the cornucopia when we got stuck in the snow. We walked the half mile up the road, and the people were so warm and helpful! Without hesitation, they offered us a beverage and assistance. Tim was top notch in helping us get unstuck. We may not have stayed at the lodge, but we definitely recommend this place based solely on the hospitality and customer service, they really went above and beyond for us!"
"Tim & Christi roll out the best dinners and breakfasts with a smile. Thank you for your hospitality and accommodations while in the midst of a major lodge remodel. The new design will be a huge upgrade and aesthetically pleasing. Look forward to another stay albeit in a snow mobile mid winter or a side by side in the summer. Stunning alpine peaks, and high mountain meadows are in abundance just above the lodge. Rich in gold mine history, the area just fascinates me. Thanks again! I might add, the tent out in the side lot is for the construction workers to eat in, not the guests. The dining room is unaffected by major remodel."
"We came by without a reservation during opening hours but did not find anyone there to speak to. So we had to leave again. Too bad! I recommend booking or calling upfront. At the moment there is a huge construction going on in the main lodge. Be aware of that. Dining is in a tent. On our way down we saw a bear cross the dirt road right in front of our car which was awesome."
"The lodge itself is being renovated. If you like watching workers work, bring a lawn chair and sit in the edge of the parking area in the shade. They were carefully cutting pieces of the roof and rafters off to add another floor of rooms. Breakfast is huge and was included in the cost of our cabin. Dinner was great. No menu, you get what is served that meal. 3 courses."
