"Great location, brand new renovated rooms, good sized pool and hot tub. The ambience in the pool at night was amazing. Not so good list. We booked in December for a February trip and distinctly saw free breakfast. Although we're told it's paid breakfast. While not a big deal, a bit of a turnoff. The hallways were very brightly lit, to the point you could see the light from the room. Pool was indoors but was ice cold and unusable in winters. Gym was a good sized hotel gym but the equipment was old and falling apart."
"The hotel rooms were newly remodeled and very nice. Our accomodations were very clean and comfortable. The fireside room in the lobby was warm and inviting to gather or relax in. The managers and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast foods for purchase were delicious and locally sourced. I loved the attached magnifying mirror in the bathroom! Highly recommend staying here."
"Just went through a major re-brand and remodeling. The remodeling looks beautiful. However, not all the seating is comfortable, IMO. Tge beds are comfortable. However, there is no microwave in the rooms or really a place to hang bulky cold weather gear or drawers to unpack. The shower has a 4 inch tile lip for your wheelchair to get over and no bench to sit on, so your chair will be wet the remainder of the day."
"Loved this hotel! The renovated rooms are beautiful. Modern but very cozy - and I typically do not like modern. The pool and jacuzzi area was one of the best I've ever used. Huge pool and spa and wonderful aesthetics. The free breakfast was very good, my husband says it was the best of hotels we've stayed in - nothing super fancy but high quality and good! The only thing I'll say is that currently the lobby is rustic and cozy and I hear they're going to "modernize" it - I think that's a miss. When you first pull into the hotel it's a great big entrance with wood and logs as the main feature of the car pull through, it sets the tone of a lodge feel. If everything turns modern the lodge feeling is lost. Just my two cents, but obviously that plan is already in motion! Either way, we'll be back - we really enjoyed it!"
"If you stayed here when it was a Holiday Inn and you were expecting a similar experience, you will be disappointed. The rooms have been remodeled to an ultra-modern minimalistic style. There are no closets, microwaves, drawers, or clock in the room. The walls are bare. There are no grab bars in the bathroom or shower. The mirror has lights in them causing a lot of glare. The hallways have so many lights it's blinding going to your room. I was told starting January 1st, there will no longer have a free breakfast. You will be able to BUY sandwiches and other breakfast items. Good things: the bed was comfy. They put in blackout shades. The staff was very nice."
