Inland Northwest Therapy

"Terrible communication. Been trying since September to get in here. Called January they told me by the end someone would be calling me to schedule. Now I call and it’s April & they tell me they are booked over 90 days out and I can’t schedule. But nobody ever called me to even get me scheduled ? So now I have to wait over 90 days to get in. Receptionist was rude when I was explaining that I was never even called to see if my referral was accepted like I was told in January."

"I have had two daughters who have had therapy at Inland Northwest Therapy. Both have loved their therapists and made great progress. I am a father of five children. The kids who are not in therapy often go along and spend time in the waiting room. During the winter our children have often developed illnesses 2-3 days after going to the therapy office. We figured it was coincidental, it is a pediatric place, germs often spread there. Until recently when we learned that Inland Northwest Therapy's aggressive discharge policies are likely the a reason for the constant illnesses in our house. We received a discharge letter today for our daughter, with no prior warning that they were considering this action. She has had an early Monday morning appointment, we have occasionally canceled late on Sunday or before the office opens on Monday morning because our daughter is ill. We have canceled because she has developed a cold or stomach flu over the weekend. She is 5 years old and as a 5 year old she is not the best at keeping her germs to herself. Today I called the INWT office and spoke with the Office Manager, Jenn. She tersely told me that it was our choice not to bring in a sick kid, if her symptoms appeared within 24 hours of her appointment. If this is the expectation that parents should bring their ill children into the therapy office it is no wonder that we have so frequently caught illnesses since our children were seen at INWT for physical therapy. Obviously preventing spread of disease is not a priority for INW Therapy. It is so disappointing to see a place that employs wonderful therapists is at the same time more concerned about billable hours than preventing their clients from catching illnesses at therapy. ____________________ After seeing your response, I am even more frustrated. We received no warning letter at all. We called our pediatrician and asked for a new referral. The person at our pediatrician's office was also shocked to hear of our experience and said nothing of receiving a letter from you. As a matter of fact your office manager did imply we should bring in sick kids. I asked "if my kids get sick within 24 hours of an appointment what should we do? Just bring in sick kids and expose others." She said "that is your choice as a parent." It was clear from what she said you are more concerned about the 24 hour time period than illness. I understand requiring a 24 hour notice policy for changing or cancelling appointments if the situation can be foreseen, but if a child wakes up sick that should not be held against a child. Period."

"They have a great facility in a great part of town. And they really put all their heart into all the children that come through! I would highly recommend taking your kids there."

"I and my daughter enjoy the therapist but the front desk lady named Jen. Is vary rude when you need to reschedule or sometime comes up she acts as if it’s a crime and is really rude to me. My daughter has asthma and was sick had a horrible cough and she said “if you guys don’t show up your daughter will not be seen ever again” it was so upsetting like come on have some humanity. Other then that love the place the other front desk lady Emma is so joyful and sweet they need more front desk people like Emma :)"

"From the very beginning I got a bad impression from this office. When scheduling- the receptionist was very rude and snappy, I was 38 weeks pregnant and she acted as if scheduling around a due date was such an inconvenience. But we ended up going to a consultation for my son, which went well. We had no problem with the therapist. When leaving the appointment she said the office would call to schedule. Two weeks went by and I still heard nothing. I emailed the therapist directly and she said that she doesn’t have any availability until June. Which is a month and a half from the appointment where she suggested weekly visits. I’m not impressed with their front office staff or availability. Will be taking my son elsewhere."
