"We thought this rheumatologist (I won't mention her name) would be my wife's saving grace for her arthritis problems...boy were we wrong. My wife has numbness in her hands, which she thought my be carpal tunnel. She brought it up to the doctor (not going to mention her name) and she held my wife's hand and said, "you don't have carpal tunnel"....how can she make a diagnosis like that without any kind of medical imaging, or an EMG (Electromyography - measures muscle response or electrical activity in response to a nerve’s stimulation of the muscle. The test is used to help detect neuromuscular abnormalities.) I don't know of any doctor who can make a diagnosis by simply 'looking' at a patient?!?! Another thing that was a big negative of this clinic is, it's assembly line medicine. My wife had not seen the doctor (not going to mention her name) for several months. When my wife finally had a follow up appointment with her, she was told, "you have 15 minutes, that's it", that's ridiculous! My wife had several issues going on, needed to explain them in depth and was only given 15 minutes. Keep in mind the clock starts ticking when the Doctor (I use that term loosely) sits down and starts asking pointless questions. What I mean by pointless is, stuff that is clearly in my wife's chart, yet she feels the need to ask as though she doesn't trust what her nurse put in the chart for blood pressure, height, weight, etc. Please avoid this clinic. There is one lady up front who is really nice and understanding....too bad she wasn't the doctor. Once again, please avoid this clinic, if you want to get real help, look elsewhere."

"I can't believe what a horrible experience I just had. I called in to make an appointment and was told by the receptionist that they didn't have a referral for me. I told her it was sent over a week ago. She asked my insurance and I told her that I have Medicaid and Medicare, managed by True Blue. She said they didn't take Medicaid (which was the same discussion I had with the other woman on Friday, where I had to keep explaining that they weren't billing Medicaid, I have the other two insurances first). She told me that the doctor had denied the referral (wait, I thought you said you didn't have one for me?). I asked her why she denied me. She told me she doesn't question the doctor. I said that I was questioning because I needed to know the reason for it. "Why would they keep claiming they don't have a referral for me, if they did have the referral?" I thought. I was told that it was because of my 'attitude'. This floored me. I asked her what she found offensive about me trying to schedule and asking questions about why I was being told I couldn't. She told me the doctor could deny anyone she wanted and told me to go somewhere else. She hung up on me. I have Aspergers and learning disabilities, and I was just horribly discriminated against and treated so shockingly it made me cry. I have several life-threatening health conditions and was just tested positive for lupus on top of it. All I wanted was to work with a good rheumatologist to figure this out.
