"The doctor was patient and explained things well, and gave me good advices on food supplements and exercise to help healing after surgery. The clinic is clean, and the nurse and assistant are very friendly. No waiting is a big plus."
"Had inguinal hernia repair surgery and the recovery process went very differently than what I was told, new problems every single day and everytime I tried to get answers it was left pretty much un answered, after about 3 weeks of bugging them about it and being made to feel like I was making up my struggles, they finally decided to take a picture to make sure the repair was intact. Once they seen it was good, nothing. No steps to figure put why I was still in pain. They were more concerned with making sure they weren't to blame rather than actually fixing my pain. Long story short um 6 months outa surgery still u able to do anything without pain and discomfort with nowhere to turn or even an idea of what to do. I am in therapy twice a week now just to deal with the mental trauma this has caused me. Bottom line, go to st Al's. I truly would have never gotten my hernia repaired had I known this was how it would be. 6 months later I am doing a lot worse than I was before I even had the repair surgery. Crazy."
"I was having some on the right side of the abdomen and saw one of the general surgeons in this clinic. I already had done ultrasound with my primary doctor and was pointed some issues with my gallbladder. I asked doctor if CT will verify that issues and doctor agreed that I should have CT. So I went first to Saint Lukes Imaging at State street to get it done. I checked in and was waiting for CT tech to call in. At that time I was curious about the CT scan price as I have high deductible so went to check in desk and got 3800 dollar for pelvic abdomin. Wauh thats a lot that I have pay out of pocket. So I decided not to do it at Saint Lukes and cancelled my CT appointment. Then I called Intermountain Imaging and check the price for CT. Their price was way cheaper than Saint Lukes. Thanks god I did check with IMI. It was 400 dollar. So the difference is 3400 dollar more at Saint Lukes. I wonder why people are not able to pay hospital bills. Answers my question. It has been 1 week today and my doctor has not called me about my report. He told me if I did not hear in 24 to 48 hours to call. So I call last week and found that my doctor is out of town for more than a week. Two nurses called after I called told me that they don't how to explain about report so doctor will call me when he is back. If the doctor is out of town for that long then Saint Lukes should have covering doctor for him while he is gone. Why do we pay and get procedure done when we are felling well. We want to find out what is is going on right? No call from the doctor till today and is 1 week now. I am not happy at all."
"I spent four days at this hospital about a year and a half ago on the fifth floor due to cellulitus. The nurses there were. Angels of Mercy. Wonderful is an understatement. They all need a very big raise. Triple the salary a CEO makes at any large corporation makes. They deserve it."
"Was born in this hospital just about 43 years ago (as of late-August 2015), and its healthcare system has always been good to me while growing up here in Boise as a child! St. Luke's is STILL good to me as a grown woman in the modern-era."
