"I’m writing a review for my recent foot surgery I had with Dr. Markewych at the South Hill Foot and Ankle Clinic. I was having foot pain and stiffness in my big toe and went in for an operation to have a bone spur removed based on Dr. Markewych’s assessment. The surgery itself was fairly brief and simple and I was discharged afterwards with a boot. After about 2 weeks I was able to go without the boot, including driving again, and then gradually made it back to full usage of my foot after about 6 weeks. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, including the MA and the receptionist Barbara. Follow up appointments were easy to attend and Dr. Markewych made himself available by phone during the weeks following the surgery, but for me that wasn’t necessary. Overall I am very happy with my surgery and the results. I would recommend the clinic strongly to anyone who might need care for the feet, including possible surgery."

"I had been dealing with a painful bunion for at least 15 years. I had opted not to do the traditional type of surgery needed to remedy it because of the costs, the time it takes to heal (by some accounts literally several months) and several horror stories from friends who were left with residual radiating pain. Finally, I got to the point where I could no longer wear any kind of shoe..even shoes made for people with bunions. I then began to research my problem and came across the idea of the minimally invasive approach to having a bunion removed and found Dr. Borys Markewich in Spokane who is, as it turns out in my experience…truly an expert in just that. So I had the surgery…about 2 hours max in the office to have it done … walked out of his office immediately following…limped around in a boot for a week…limped some during the next week, mostly out of the boot…had some pain while walking the third week with no boot. By the fifth week I am 99% pain free with walking and back to wearing shoes. My insurance picked up the entire cost (my deductible had been already paid for the year). Dr. Markewich and his team are professional and efficient but also warm and caring at the same time. They are the best. I would heartedly recommend anyone who wants to deal with a bunion (or any foot issue) to contact them for assistance."

"I had surgery on both feet earlier this year for bone spurs and some joint issues. I am very active and had concerns about how long I would be off my feet after surgery. Dr. Markewych took the time to explain the surgery and his technique for minimally invasive surgery to correct the issues on my feet. My recovery time was quick and the pain I was experiencing prior to surgery has been resolved. Barb at the front desk was also excellent to work with.
