"If I could give this place a negative star rating I completely would. What an absurd place and an embarrassment. When you take your nephew in for an appointment who’s 100 pounds overweight for his height and age and Dr Vanessa does nothing to help the individual. Her solution was let me put you in a support group to talk about your feelings. When you take somebody to get help for weight loss and their solution is, let’s talk about your feelings I was minded and embarrassed, and my heart broke for even taking my nephew there. Dr Vanessa, as well as the rest of the establishment at that particular clinic should be ashamed of themselves."
"This clinic is by far the worst Primary Care Clinic I’ve ever had encounters with. Their providers lack adequate time management and just seem uninterested. Even their front desk staff seem so unhappy to be checking you in. Always having a blank stare and are very monotone when talking. I’ve seen two providers including a Mental Health counselor here at this clinic for a total of 4-5 years. Meghan Dwayer was my PCP for majority of this time and was always passive aggressive and cold shoulder to a lot of my problems. Sierra Dean in my opinion was an alright Councelor, but our encounters always seemed rushed. Today though due to scheduling limitations I saw Jesus Rendon who was by far the most inconsiderate Joke of a Provider. He saw me for a total of 3 minutes before leaving me waiting in the exam room for over an hour while having the office Manager run in and out of the room giving me information he could’ve given to me himself. Mind you I had taken PTO to come to this appointment. All that time wasted including him accepting an appointment that he was aware about, just to not initial my paperwork that was signed by a colleague at my new clinic Chas Maple. I would 100% spare yourself a trip to the South Gate clinic if you don’t want your health to be treated like a paycheck."
"Poor service for my child. Nothing was done to help her and they also passed judgment for no reason. Hate this place. We won’t ever be coming back here. Find better for your child the doctor my child seen was horrible! My daughter is still sick and now has an ear infection because of them wanting to clean her ear out while she was sooo sick!! Close this place down! Practice seems unsafe! Just horrible!"
"I was excited to have a clinic close to my home and I heard great things but my entire experience not just with this clinic, but Chas in general has been upsetting. I had to wait months for my first appointment only to be seen by a student and given new meds to try. I made my follow up appointment excited to see if the meds worked. Not only did the meds make me feel worse but my follow up appointment was canceled without my knowledge or consent leaving me struggle with my mental health because I had not been given the care I needed. I was told a referral was sent out regarding therapy but my appointment was in April and I still never got a call. I had to figure my own appointment which was only available in July. So I’ve gone from April to now with messed up meds, no help for my mental health and a huge lack of communication. I found an appointment at a different clinic but I was told I can’t go to other clinics and have to wait for my provider to be available. I also find incredibly frustrating that when I was called and told I couldn’t go to other clinics and I tried communicating that my meds have been messed nothing was done to help me get the care I needed. Maybe it’s better for other people but I will going to a different clinic from now on."
"I love CHAS! They have a pharmacy, doctors and people who help with finances. They take most insurances and my doctor was super nice. Every experience I've had with chas is positive. The nurse practitioners are amazing. My biggest bill was $50 and they provide a lot of services. When I learned they do homeless outreach and heard other patients speaking different languages in the waiting area, I was sold. I'm going back!"
