"They suck they wait for ever to bill you. You get 5 different bills because every one is contracted. We switched to st Luke’s and they only give you one bill. St Alphonsus is horrible managed. They revised a bill after we left there. It took them 7 months which is crazy. Do not trust this company. I would never go back here after going to st Luke’s. St Luke’s is properly managed and they don’t give you suprise bills."

"While I have several unfortunate stories to share about them, I will keep it simple and stick with a basic warning to future patients. I have an insurance that requires me to reach a high deductible prior to kicking in. As such, with each visit I ask for the cash price to determine if it makes sense to pay in full or run it through the insurance first. On two separate visits they have given me a cash price that I paid in full (prior to the service). I then received a bill for additional monies. I could understand if I had additional services provided, but Nothing was done beyond what was scheduled/disclosed. When I have reached out to them they say they will look into it or ignore me completely."

"I’m in the St Alphonsus ER with my mother. Her BP is 215 over 85 and she’s very dizzy. They won’t treat it. After I don’t know how many readings, she pulled her BP cuff off because it hurts too much. According to the machine, she’s been dead for 20 minutes. Has anyone checked on her? NOPE. UPDATE: It’s 16 hours later and we’re still here. Mom’s blood pressure is now 225. She was promised a room last night because she’s too weak to walk, but the room didn’t materialize, so she slept in the ER and now her 4 Xanax a day anxiety is in overdrive. Treating doctor won’t return our nurse’s call, and with no timeline for a room or treatment of her stroke potential exceedingly high blood pressure, have taken her home with plans to reach out to her primary care physician in hopes he might help us. We spent a total of 21 hours in the ER. Do you think St Al’s would at least be concerned about a lawsuit in case my mother dies from her 200+ high blood pressure. NOPE Must be great to be one of only two hospitals in Boise. God forbid, if something happens to my Mom for lack of treatment, I’m going to make these uncaring bureaucrats pay. UPDATE Her primary called and fearing she might have a stroke, is able to get us in tomorrow. Finally some hope. What a long and discouraging journey trying to get St Al’s to help my mother. BOTTOM LINE If you care about your loved one, don’t take them to St Al’s."

"I had a life changing accident on March 13th. My husband took me to St. Alphonsus ER in Boise. I ended up in the hospital for four days, the longest I’ve ever spent in a hospital. The quality of care I received from start to finish was exceptional. Special thanks to my nurse Katie in the ER, Jelena on the orthopedic floor, and Lin, my OR nurse who all took the time to really connect with me and take special care of me. Thank you to the St. Al’s staff for making me feel well cared for during a very difficult time in my life."
