"What a mess! Made appointment for smartphone battery replacement. On arrival staff told me that sometimes phones get damaged during servicing and that should that occur it was not their fault. Really? Me: If you damage the phone it's on you. They: Reassert it'd not be their fault. Me: I won't to this on those terms. If you damage the phone it's on you. They: Repeat not-our-fault speech verbatim and add "we're just being honest with you." Me: I will not do this on these terms. They: Share glance, shrug, turn backs to me. Me: Leave store They (shouting): "We're just trying to be honest with you!" Wow. This conversation had nothing to do with honesty. It was about demanding immunity from the consequences of their own incompetence and/or negligence. No ethical or competent workman or business would ever make such a demand. Or feel the need. These are people who have no confidence in their own professional skills and refuse to accept responsibility for their own mistakes. "I would leave -100 if I could. They advertised cutting keys. They wouldn't cut a blank key i brought in because they couldn't program a key fob i didn't need with it. Said it wasn't worth making 20 dollars just to copy a key to a blank that i already bought. I guess if they can't copy a key then charge you extra to test it on your car or front door it's not worth their time. 3 guys standing around with their duck in their hands not doing anything. Better to not make any money for the company, just want to get paid to not work. Screw this place and their dumb employees."
