"Overall great service! We tried an overall assortment of foods. Including a boil with crab, sausage, shrimp, potatoes, corn and a fried food trio of catfish, shrimp, tenders and Cajun fries. The catfish is definitely not it wouldn’t recommend getting that. Other than the fries the shrimp was the best out of the fried foods. The breading itself was just very bland and had no flavor. The chicken was also dry. In the boil the sausage was amazing but it too was just bland. Even with the garlic butter sauce you just got only a very little hint of the garlic. Would recommend hook and reel over blue hook if you’re looking for a boil"

"It was our first time eating at the blue Hook restaurant and we loved our experience! The live music was conducive to the atmosphere but still allowed for normal conversations to take place at our table. The food was great, but the best part of our experience was our waitress, Jastyn. She gave us the best service, answered our questions, genuinely seemed to enjoy her job, and foresaw all of our needs while still giving us space to enjoy our time without being overbearing. She was very comfortable and sweet and deserves recognition for her amazing skills!!"

"We decided to check out Blue Hook Cajun Seafood & Bar last night. I had never tried crawfish before, and it was on my list of things to experience. Once I got past how unsettling they are to look at, I actually really liked them! I probably wouldn't order them again though because it's just too much work to peel for that little bit of meat you get! They were cooked perfectly and I gave that dish an A. The Red Beans & Rice were phenomenal! My friend said she liked those better than the Philly Po Boy she ordered. She said the sandwich was fine but just a basic sandwich. Nothing worth ordering again. She gave it a C. The drink was disappointing. It was a Sangria Margarita of some sort but just tasted like watered-down juice. Service was great and our server was very friendly, attentive, and helpful on deciding what sauce to order for my boil. I went with the cajun garlic butter sauce at a medium heat level. The food came out in an expected time frame for it being fairly busy on Valentines Day. It was maybe 25 minutes. We were seated right away at 5:30 but when we left at almost 7, there were people waiting out the door. The photos aren't the greatest. There were shadows. I'd blame the lighting but I'm also definitely not a photographer!"

"To start off, I want to make sure I let everyone know, our server did a good job. They were unable to control what was happening behind the scene. We waited over an hour for our food. The quality was ok, but it had cooled off significantly by the time it made it to us. The amount of food was much less than it used to be. The were severely understaffed and the manager wasn't doing anything to help them. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. But I'm gonna have to say skip it. To bad."

"Blue Hook fries shrimp to perfection and has the BEST Cajun Fried Rice. I also enjoyed cup of gumbo and Cajun wings that I devoured before taking a picture. As far as drinks they have a great variety and do not over charge for a good drink. Tyler is wonderful and always makes sure service is beyond standard."
