"As others have said, the service for their prix fixe Valentine’s Day service was abysmal. We arrived on time for our 5:15 reservation and did not get out of there until almost 8, everything took so long. The food was just ok, although my husband’s ‘medium-rare’ steak was served medium-WELL. The most shocking thing about the whole debacle was the bill. My husband ordered two old-fashions and was charged $26 EACH ($52 for TWO drinks). He has ordered an old fashioned in every city we’ve ever been to and has NEVER been charged $26 for a small cocktail. The waitress claimed it was a double, but it was literally just a regular cocktail that is the same everywhere."
"I know this is a review for food but unfortunately the only review I can give is for the water we got at Chisolm American Beef and Ale House. It was cold and refreshing. That's it. So my gf and I had reservations at 6:30 for the valentines day special menu. We arrived about 5 minutes early and was seated right away. A server came right over and said he'd be right back with a couple glasses of water. After about 15 minutes of waiting I asked him if he was still bringing us our waters as he was leaving the table behind us. He apologized and said he would be right back. That was the last I saw of him for quite some time. The hostess that seated us was taking other guests to their table and noticed we haven't been helped yet so she came over and got us our waters and took our order (this was almost an hour after we got there) and we asked for the drink menu. She said she would be right back with it. She brought the waters but no drink menu. So I flagged down another waitress and asked for the drink menu so she got us one fairly quick. I also asked her how long until our food would be out but she just said I don't know. No offer to check on it or anything like that, so my gf ordered her drink and we waited around about another 15 - 20 minutes and decided to leave since it was 8pm by this time without her getting her drink or the food we ordered. The absolute worst service I've ever had anywhere. It would've been more acceptable had the restaurant been extremely busy or even had communication with us but there were lots of empty tables with no wait times and I had to keep trying to flag people down to get any help. I would have asked to speak to a manager to see if they could make it right but it was already late and we were hungry and most places were going to close soon. We ended up getting take out and just going home after a very disappointing evening. You would think that service at a place would be much better when they're charging $120/couple."
"I stayed here the evening prior to my flight on Dec 28th. Patty at the bar/restaurant provided the best service. During this slow time she kept herself busy by cleaning. I watched in amazement how thoroughly she cleaned especially the bar cooler doors and coolers themselves. My steak was done to perfection and I thoroughly enjoyed my whole experience and meal."
"Service was great for just 2 servers. Sundays are normally off days for most restaurants, so it's understood. They weren't really busy when we arrived. The food came out quickly but didn't have the taste or flavor I expected for crab cakes. I think they were mostly bread. We've been here 4-5 times, and the food has been great. Not so much this time."
"Menu lacked choice. Pretty much meat. My Ribeye was great. AVOID the salmon. My wife could not even eat hers and left with nothing more than her dry Ceaser salad. Honey carrots seemed undercooked and hard. Ravioli was amazing. It took over an hour to get entrees. For us at $145 with $30 tip, it was the worst Valentines dinner ever."
