"Great place for our family gathering. We rented a shelter for the day for our grandfather's 80 1/2 birthday and had family from all over the state. Plenty of parking. Tons of green grass. Well maintained shelter and facilities. The staff even emptied our garbage cans half way through the day. My only criticism is with the bathrooms. Who's brilliant idea was it to simply omit the door on the toilets? It wasnt just temporary, the design intentionally has no doors for privacy in the men or women bathrooms.....weird. At least they were clean."
"This upper portion of Manito delivers just as much fun as the rest if the park! This area boasts an enormous kickball field, a splash pad, a toddler playground, and playground equipment for the bigger kids! There are many trees to enjoy the shade and a decent amount of benches if you don't want to sit in the grass. There is a covered picnic area and a BBQ stand, just bring charcoal. To top it all off there are bathrooms! The city has been trying to improve parking but there is still plenty of easy access street parking. Enjoy a day out and visit Manito."
"More important than the kickball field is the splash park and play equipment. There are two separate climbing gyms age appropriate for younger and older children."
"Great place to take kids. It has a splash pad, swings for babies up to kids, and a jungle gym. Many picnic tables to use as well as a restroom facility right next to the toys. Lots of trees line the park area for shade throughout the day. The only downside is the parking lot is small so if it's the weekend you'll have to park on the street. Other than that it's a great place for a picnic, playing or splashing around."
"The fields are great, but the playground could use a refresh. New paint and switch out those stupid wood chips for recycled tire pieces or rocks. Splinters suck."
