"I don't know about you, but most home improvement projects that I have contracted out in the past were done with extreme caution due to past experiences with some trades that seemed disinterested. We purchased our Toll Brothers home in Eagle over four years ago. The main areas of the house had wood flooring and the bedrooms, the stairway to the bonus room and the bonus room all had carpeting. Over these last four years, the carpeting started to wrinkle or show signs that it needed to be stretched, which is hard to do when you have existing floor vents. Our dogs have done quite a bit of damage due to their chasing each other and their claws catching on to the loops also. So, after looking at model homes and seeing wood stairways, we decided we would pursue upgrading our flooring to match the existing wood flooring. In asking around to friends and neighbors, we were told of a few flooring companies we could get prices from. A few friends told us that Dillabaugh's Flooring would probably be the best company to go with and that they had a great reputation, but they would be more expensive than their competitors. In taking bids for the work, I am always happy to get multiple quotes to make sure we are all in the same range of scope and to also make sure all bids were apples for apples when it came to what was going to be done. Christine and Anna from Dillabaugh's came to our home and were prompt in measuring, and pricing. Christine responded to all my phone calls and e-mails about their proposal and answered all of my questions and verified that we were installing the same flooring that was installed 4 years ago. After clarifying quotes with all companies who bid the work, Dillabaugh's was the lowest by less than 1 percent to their nearest competitor. So much for that they would be the highest. I don't know about you, but I prefer to go with an established company that has a good reputation, especially when they price the work competitively and have a stake in the community, because word of mouth goes a long way in contracting. Dillabaugh's also offers a lifetime warranty on the installation as long as we own the home, which their competitors did not offer. Since we need some of the rooms to live in, we are phasing the work and splitting it up. Dillabaugh's fulfillment team called, from Brandon and Matt who scheduled the installation and their driver who delivered the flooring a week early so the wood could acclimate, it was seamless and they delivered when they said they would. Ben and his brother the installers removed our existing MDF painted baseboards carefully, removed the carpet and pad, hauled it away and then started on the prep of our existing subfloor. The install took two long days, which is quicker than we expected, but it was done well. Phase one was just completed and we could not be happier. With the stairway being better than our expectations and the Bonus room looking far better than before, we are very pleased to have done this project. Phase two will be the remaining bedrooms which we have been able to schedule around our travel also. All in all it has been a good experience and we appreciate the professionalism and quality workmanship that Dillabaugh's Flooring America in Boise has provided so far. Dillabaugh's proposals have the saying, "where friends send friends", so appropriate."
"Dillabaughs was wonderful to work with! Christine the salesperson was amazing in presenting the options to me. When I decided on real wood she then showed me the different price ranges and vast array of finishes. The installers that came did a great Job. They were meticulous and paid close attention to detail. I could not find one issue with the job! Dillabaughs is a great local company with a great reputation! My advice would be to keep your business local and trust the team at Dillabaugh’s with your project! I am so happy I did!"
"When we entered Dillabaughs show room we were greeted with a warm smile and hello. We explained to Teina what we wanted and she began with her great expertise and design knowledge to guide us to the lovely outcome you see in the photos. Teina is the best. She is so kind, patient and understanding as she walks you through the process of finding what’s right for you. Tenia also makes sure that everything is done and finished the way it was designed to be and she does so with excellence!!"
"We bought a brand new house with split /cuts on stairs and not wearing well after only months. After living in and vacuuming, the seams we were told should fade remained obvious and were everywhere. We had a warranty in place and after months of contact , calls, inspections by many people we had approval to replace. We pushed to get done before holidays and we’re notified after we ordered new that they could do Tues Thanksgiving week! We felt like we had to just get it over or risk wait perhaps months more and had paid $1200 to cover difference for better carpe. We chose a replacement fearing same issue with splits, and bad wearing etc if we didn’t upgrade. Then to pack up our 4 bed house and bonus and all carpeted areas and essentially move out have sectional, beds and dressers disassembled and everything off floor and surfaces. The movers did ok but we did notice dings and trim and paint chips. 2 night away and we were notified carpet crush issue was a issue and was going to have be steam cleaned to fix. Steam clean didn’t happen because of holiday and now we came home to carpet bits and pieces and scrap and staples on stairs. And now we need to move back in and set up rooms and clean whole house . Carpet crush is noted but honestly I’m too tired to fight Also trademen, movers and installers used our bathroom!!! I’m sorry but that is gross and should not be expectation of homeowner Dillaboughs will not send cleaner “ they don’t do that” We thankfully had 1 night paid of hotel for 6 of us and 2 dog’s compensated but I would not recommend them or wish this on anyone Well back to cleaning ! Happy Thanksgiving"
