"Caliber is not a reputable company and lacks business ethics. It is a corporate entity and I would suggest strong consideration if looking at the Coeur d'Alene, ID shop on Kathleen. Our claim was closed as complete with the following issues persisting below. Further, to obtain the keys, my wife was told to pay a $500 deductible. The work had been completed. Our insurance company had already paid the deductible as we were not at-fault for the claim. Caliber told us this would need to be paid and that the insurance company would reimburse. Now, we are working with USAA to recover the $500 deductible we did not need to pay. If a tire shop was doing a brake job and happened to break a TPMS or ABS sensor in removing a tire, I would expect the sensor to be replaced. We are still awaiting a rear parking sensor to be replaced which is causing a rear parking sensor error. This is being presented as a great favor to us because "sometimes they break when you take off the rear bumper". Caliber acknowledged the faulty safety device (backup sensors) which stopped working during their R/I of the rear bumper and knowingly stated they would no longer repair this sensor. The representative proceeded to begin lying regarding the initial repair: 1. the insurance claim would not cover the sensor as it was not part of the damage, 2. the bumper was not within 18" of the damage, and 3. "we already replaced several sensors and its still not working". 1. If the sensors were not covered, why did you replace them in #3? 2. Is the rear bumper within 18" of the bed? The damage as seen in the pics show damage the length of the bed. 3. Upon 3 trips to the store since 11/30/2023, I was told the part was the wrong part, the sensor is intermittently working, it just needs calibration. When the initial repair was completed, the technician stated the calibration for the rear parking sensors was not completed because it was by appointment. Regardless of the communication, the claim was for damage to the right-side of the pickup (full-length). The backup sensors were working when we dropped the pickup off and Caliber is, knowingly, leaving themselves and us liable for a defective safety sensor. We live in a neighborhood with many school-aged children (including 3 of our own) and our driveway is on a slope. The audible backup sensor is a safety device in a full-size pickup for a reason. If a vehicle was in a collision on the front right tire, I would expect thorough inspection of front suspension components, especially upon customer complaint of misalignment and steering vibration. Two separate tire shops (not their recommendation - Perfection Tire) identified failed upper and lower outer tierods as well as blown shocks due to the collision. Our insurance company, USAA, will be handling the incomplete repair and I will strongly recommend Caliber is no longer used by USAA. Unfortunately, this has been a completely negative experience using Caliber."
