"Ah man, such a bummer place. I made an appointment at least 8 months in advance for my wedding dress (which they wouldn’t schedule the first fitting until 6 weeks before the wedding). They required a $30 deposit. That was all fine and well. The kicker is, I am also going to be in someone’s wedding, so I took my bridesmaids dress to them. I had called previously and thoroughly explained the dress and needed a price range so I could budget accurately for it (all I needed was a hem). I was told $50 then $75 to be safe but that it would definitely not be more than that. It ended up being $100 and I couldn’t afford to pay it all upfront- I had only set aside $75. Upon arrival, it was the most awkward fitting ever. Got a dirty look for an employee and the gal working on my dress kept commenting and laughing about how terribly made my dress was. Overall, weird. I just called and explained why I would like my deposit back to which the gal giggled and said “no it is not refundable”. No apology, nothing. Overall, terrible customer service and will be going elsewhere."
