"I walked into sos and I was very happy with Kevin, the owner. He is always receptive to my questions. Being a veteran myself, I don't always buy but I'm thankful there are people who don't just try to sell me something but are courteous and at times will work with me on a price of an item at times. Always a pleasure to shop there."
"It's one of my favorite locations to visit. As an avid military buff and collector, I enjoy spending time here. I feel like I'm in my element. I enjoy talking with the owner, who not only can be quite friendly but also is very intelligent when it comes to his knowledge of military history. I've learned (and been able to verify) historical facts from him that have helped with my love of the study. Prices seem fair for things purchased in the shop (I was able to get a functional Vietnam-style Gas Mask, with bag, original canister, another canister [not filled with asbestos], and adapter for modern canisters, for a good 70 dollars). His selection is amazing for the limitations when it comes to having to supply his store, from canteens to field telephones. I visit as often as I can, just to look around if I don't purchase anything. The new building is sure an improvement from the last, with sorting and finding equipment much easier. I would recommend it to anyone who is into collecting or finding classic field equipment."
"Waited in the parking lot for an hour for him to come in and open the store five others came and left because he still wasn't open forty minutes after his posted opening time. I Finally left and called him two hours after he was supposed to open he said he was running late but open now went in and was Very disappointed how he crammed everything out of his big store into an extremely tiny shop everything is piled and stacked ceiling high no room for more customers at the same time and good luck being able to look at anything without causing a major avalanche. Very disappointed it was on a Tuesday my brother called you from cabelas at 11 we had just walked in"
"This place used to be good, but has seriously declined over the last couple of years. Same stock that is never updated, organized or cleaned. Half of it isn't priced and if you ask, the owner looks it up on eBay and gives you the highest price. If you try to barter, you get " I could sell it for twice that on eBay". Not recommended, there are better places to go within driving distance."
