"I bought a pair of Ground Pounders from the ready to ship section. I followed their recommendations about sizing and the fit is great! These boots are the most robust pair I've ever had. They are sturdier than the Corcoran jump boots I got them to relieve - those boots were limited production of the short lived USMC jump boots of WWII. The break in on my Frank's was definitely tough for me, but that comes with the territory of 8oz leather. I finally got them broken in enough to grease them and now I'm enjoying them daily at work. From the point of a leather worker, I can appreciate the craftsmanship put into these boots and certainly the work put into a pair that was just made as stock ready to ship. I can tell the passion of this company is with custom orders and fitting, but they definitely uphold their standards with anything they make. Order with confidence whether it's a custom order or an in stock Patriot, they will be great boots."

"Great craftsmanship and outstanding customer service! I ordered a stock boot from Franks that didn't quite fit right. I called to see about an exchange and Frank personally spoke to me about my options and fitting. I ordered the Monkey boot, and waited anxiously for its arrival. "This is my 1st pair of custom made boots. I’m a commercial electrician and have strictly worn thorogood moc toes for the last 7 years. These boots are definitely a steep investment but upon opening the box you can tell right away how well built they are. "I purchased slippers from Franks Boots. I didn't realize how fluffy they are inside - they are a bit tight. I would recommend ordering at least a 1/2 size larger than you normally wear. I decided not to return the pair I bought . . . I figure eventually I'll wear down the fake fur and then I can wear them with socks. I would like to say, they are very well made and very warm. I would purchase again - just order a bit larger slippers."

"Got my first pair of Frank’s boots several weeks ago. Station boots. After reviewing my fit sheet, they wanted to send me a pair of boots to fit test since my feet measured different sizes. I did this, and paid for that but I’m glad I did. I received my pair of boots which are different sizes. The break in instructions were very helpful. I don’t walk this much every day, but the second day I wore them I walked 2 miles in the morning and 4.5 miles in the afternoon. My feet/legs weren’t sore like they would have been without good boots. I almost got a blister but didn’t. Since then I wear them for 6-12 hours 6 days a week. I’ve been tightening the laces daily then every few days. So for love them. Time will tell how well they hold up, but solid start."
