"Their parking lot was a great place to troubleshoot why my car was running hot. Got it dealt with. If it would have been earlier I may have went inside to browse but alas they were already closed. Thank you REI, I promise to come and browse another time."
"Very nice and polite workers. My only gripe is. That you can literally Google anything there while your shopping and find a better price online or at a different store. They are just way overpriced. Try it next time you're looking at an item there. You'll be amazed at the price difference."
"My wife and I live out of town so we were visiting and said hey let’s stop by REI and see what they got going on. After about 10 minutes of browsing merchandise we noticed we were being watched like hawks by employees. This happened throughout our whole shopping experience. It made us feel like trash. I don’t know why they singled us out. So anyways we spend 200 dollars which I kinda regret after being treated like thieves. I’ve been to the REI’s in Kennewick, Oregon, Seattle and been treated great at these locations."
"Do not go shopping here without earbuds or headphones, the global "please don't talk to me" sign. I was in for less than a minute for someone to ask me if I need help. That's fine, a bit intimidatingly prompt but fine for how recently I entered the store. I found what I needed and was checking the sizes and then a man came up to me to tell me about their membership and the benefits and all that. He left, and then not two minutes later, a third man came to talk to me if I needed anything. I wasn't shopping for ten minutes without three people talking to me. I would have asked the first person for help if I needed it. I was so frustrated by the constant social bombardment that I gave up what I was looking for to shop for it online, lest a fourth person try to talk to me. One person asking me if I need help is fine customer service. Three people bombarding me is bad, trying to sell a membership is far far worse. This was one of the most miserable shopping experiences I've had."
"a very large and extensive shop with mountain equipment and more. an exceptionally large selection of bikes for a mountain store - REI. there is also a large palette of shoes for climbing, cycling and mountain hiking. the store also has a climbing wall inside but I am not sure if it is open to customers. Very nice lady selling and other sellers were very cultured - RECOMMEND."
