Bao Boi

"Was visiting Boise for a Botany conference and tried Bao Boi which was right across the Boise Centre. The food was fantastic and the word clearly spread throughout the conference attendees. The bao is soft and fluffy with a great combination of sauces. 10/10 would recommend."

"I have NO CLUE where to start! Chef Frank and Sous-Chef "Big Bird" knocked my whole meal out the park! I had the Gua Bao Pork Belly Steamed buns first. DIVINE I tell ya! OMG So very good!! Hands Down my favorite! Then I got to try some of their Kimchi which knocked my imaginary socks off. I couldn't decide what to get next so since I am just here for 2nights I got the Teriyaki Chicken Rice bowl. MANNNNN I almost ate all that at the restaurant!! Look, I am from VA and don't adventure out much with my foods except for today. I took a risk on these gentlemen and I am beyond ecstatic about my experience, food and overall customer service. If you haven't tried I promise you are missing out. That cucumber dish they have on the Pork Steamed Buns IS AMAZING!! I also believe they make 98% of their food and additives IN HOUSE! I had one of the best early birthday dinners I could have EVER asked for."

"Interesting place. I had the beef with potatoes and carrots on rice. Was a great dish, however I think less beef curry gravy would have been better. Side of their speciality fries looked good, so got those too to share (worth it!). It was unanimous on the fries, everyone loved their seasoning and the curry ketchup. Give this place a try - a great change of pace from the typical."

"The Bao buns are amazing here. My favorite is the pork belly, it is so flavorful. Each bao bun is over $6 so it is a little pricier, but I think it’s worth it."

"First time here and absolutely love it! Had to do the plate and a bun and i can’t decide what i like better! BF got a bowl, level 10 spice. He loved it, glad I went original. If you’re looking for great food with some heat, this is your place. If you want good food without heat, this is your place. Actually if you want good food, just come try something, it’s all amazing"
