"My dogs have been seeing Jamie and Dexter for several years now. They just got my little shihtzu all groomed up and ready for spring! They bathe and deshed my two boys who have ridiculous amounts of floof. One of my boys has bad anxiety to the point a vet refused to trim his nails and that he had fear pooped all over them. He has never acted that way when Jamie and Dexter see him. They are patient and loving with fearful and anxious dogs. I highly recommend ❤"
"Jamie is AMAZING. I'd never had a dog that required grooming before, and recently had a heartworm positive foster dog who completed treatment but is on strict activity restriction and kennel rest while the treatment (which can be dangerous) continues to work. Maris had never been groomed since entering rescue and likely some time before, but it was too risky to get her worked up or excited during the early stages of her heartworm treatment; so grooming was low priority for months. She was starting to look like a little yak! Jamie took her time, was diligent and cautious with Maris' excitability, and she protected and flawlessly navigated Maris' strict restrictions and health issues (which had to date prevented her from being able to be groomed at all). She kept Maris calm and made her comfortable to protect her health while she was groomed. Maris looks beautiful, feels so much better, and fell in love with Jamie in the process! I'd never take her anywhere else!"
"Jamie and Dexter are amazing with my pups! I have 8 dogs ranging in size, breed, coat and temperament and they all love coming to The Gentle Touch. My pups always leave happy, looking and smelling wonderful, and at a great price. They even work with one of my dogs who is a pitbull with an attitude problem and they don't even have to muzzle him! I highly recommend them for all your grooming needs!"
"I have three, fluffy dogs that are all over 100 pounds. They come in monthly for bath, brush, and de-shed. They are now 6 and 10 and 12 years old and they still run to the car like puppies on grooming day. Jamie and her husband are not only caring and compassionate with clients dogs, they also donate their time and love to the homeless animals in the care of Rescue One, a foster based rescue here in Springfield. Highly recommend."
