"The best Hawaiian food, or food in general. This is one of my favorite spots. You get great portions and it tastes amazing. Me and my wife often can share a meal here, which helps on the budget. Love having Mo' Bettahs near me."
"The food here was excellent. Very good. The meat was tender and so juicy. The portions were very good size. The employees were all young kids who were very friendly. Now for the not so great stuff. The place was pretty dirty. Pieces of napkin all over the floor, paper towels all over the bathroom floor, the bathroom doors were filthy. Tables still had food on them from previous customers, as well as the walls. Employees took out trash next to us while we were eating, and didn't wash their hands before going back and serving food again. The kitchen area was a mess with food dropped everywhere and all the cooking utensils were hanging caked with food. I will definitely eat at MBs again, just not this location."
"It was my first time here and I had high hopes, but my overall rating is actually a surprising 1/5. I wanted to order a variety with my wife so we got “da big boy” with teriyaki chicken, katsu chicken, and tempura shrimp, because they were sold out of kalua pork. With a pineapple orange drink for me and Diet Coke for my wife this ran us $25. Price was no big deal, but we expected better flavor, portions, and service. I told them it was my first time and the order went in smoothly, but it wasn’t until I got home that I realized they didn’t offer me any sauce and the rice and katsu chicken were pretty dry so I added my own teriyaki sauce at home. Extra sauce really should have been offered. The rice was very dry, which was a bit disappointing. I’ve never bought macaroni salad that tastes as if it was made with zero effort before. I could taste a little pepper and just straight mayonnaise on this macaroni and carrots. There was no hint of flavor of pickles, peppers, onions, or celery or some acidity/vinegar to cut the straight taste of mayo. Tempura shrimp was good and fried well but a bit greasy with no sauce to apply. Katsu chicken was the best part of the dish but a bit dry. Teriyaki chicken could have been sliced into bite size pieces for the plastic utensils that are available in store(see pics and yes dog got some chicken). Finally, for the quantity of food and price, save your time and money and go 1000 feet away to teriyaki madness on the NW corner of Linder/Chinden. To the owner who may read this, sorry, but this is honestly also for your insight to changing work expectations for your employees."
"This place is AMAZING! So glad I decided to stop in and check it out. Delicious food. 10/10. Excellent service. 10/10. Atmosphere/vibe is on point. 10/10. Did I mention the food is delicious? They don’t hold back!! The amount of food is insane and mouthwatering."
"My recent visit to Mo Bettahs in Meridian, Idaho left much to be desired. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that something was amiss. The overpowering smell of burnt chicken as I entered the restaurant was an immediate red flag. It was so strong that it was hard to ignore, and it certainly did not set a pleasant tone for the dining experience. Additionally, the atmosphere seemed tense, with employees appearing to be more interested in their own interactions than in providing a welcoming environment for customers. The person at the front counter who greeted me seemed to be in a sour mood, which immediately put me on edge. It's disappointing when the first impression is so negative. The lack of attention from the staff and their disregard for my presence only exacerbated the issue. The cashier's indifference and annoyance when I paid with cash was particularly off-putting. The state of the restaurant's cleanliness was concerning. The mess behind the grill area and the dirty countertops were clear signs of a lack of attention to basic hygiene standards. This neglect was not only unsightly but also raised questions about the overall cleanliness of the kitchen. Regrettably, the food itself did not redeem the experience. The chicken was burnt to a crisp, which not only affected the flavor but also the overall texture of the dish. The portions were shockingly small, leaving me feeling unsatisfied and disappointed. In summary, my visit to Mo Bettahs was a regrettable experience. The combination of poor service, lack of cleanliness, and subpar food quality left me with a strong desire to never return. I hope that the management takes this feedback to heart and makes the necessary improvements to provide a more enjoyable dining experience for future patrons."
