Reviews
"Dr. Couchonnal did a thorough and excellent job in figuring out the reasons behind my episodes of arrhythmia and provided excellent treatment for it. My quality of life and well-being has been greatly improved!"
"I have been under Dr. Couchonnal's care for treatment of Atrial Fibrillation and he recently inserted a pacemaker in me to regulate my heart rhythm. I have found him to be very thorough, professional and courteous in all of my dealings with him. He has patiently taken and answered any questions I have had about my medical situation and I am very comfortable with him as a patient. His knowledge and communication skills are very impressive and I would definitely recommend him to any person who needed help with their heart situations."
"I am just now able to talk about this. After 50 1/2 yrs I feel I lost my husband to neglect. On Jan 18, 2017 Dr Couchononnal implanted a replacement Diffib in my husband Phil. Phil was doing fine but monitor said his unit needed a new lead line. Dr Couchononnal said would need a new Diffib in 2 yrs so might as well do it now. After implanted new unit my husband started getting tired and gradually weaker. We were told not unusual for CHF. But this was not the case PRYOR to new implant. 4 months later Phil fell over head and face first on floor. DEAD IMMEDIATELY. Phil was drowning in his own blood. Defiff was not functioning. Paramedics could do nothing. He was DOA at hospital. Death Certificate says : PROBABLE MALFUNCTION OF DIFFIB. I found out later Phil's unit had been recalled by FDA 4 months BEFORE Dr Couchononnal implanted it. My personal opinion is that that was medical neglect. I have all papers to prove but 2 different Attorneys said Big Corp of St Jude that manufactured the defiff and Dr would have attorneys that would draw it out for many many years. God help others."
