"This is a 5 star El Salvadorian family owned diner, and is now a destination for us in Bonners Ferry. The wonderful smells wafting from the restaurant as we were passing by brought us in, and we are so glad we did. The owners, Elva & Jay, are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They made you feel welcome as soon as you walked through the door. We ordered 3 different homemade pupusas, and they were so delicious. The freshly made guacamole & chips were delicious as well. We had the Mimosa that was made with fresh squeezed orange juice and hard apple cider, and it was amazing. We finished our meal with the best rice pudding we have ever had. We will definitely be back because of the amazing food & drink, and the wonderful hospitality. Thank you, Elva & Jay, for an amazing dining experience."
"Stopped in while passing through town before a bike ride... It was like walking into your Grandma's house where you immediately feel welcome and loved and you're asked what she can make for you, followed by the comforting sounds of frying bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato being cut, and sourdough bread being warmed, which turned out to be the best BLT I have ever had. This little restaurant is a gem."
"Met Jay as we rode in to town, he very graciously recommended lodging and offered food. We assured him we would return once we settled. By the time we got back it was almost closing time and still he and his wife were happy to see us. I was able to practice my Spanish, enjoy food I hadn’t had since childhood, and finish the night with a cigar and frisbee. Unforgettable"
