College Heights Christian Church

"My family and I began the journey of looking for a new church home several months ago. We attended several area churches looking for one that stood on the foundation of true Bible teachings and also felt like “home”. CH quickly became the place for us. This church is big enough that you can attend anonymously for the first few weeks if you would like, but small enough that you will be recognized and welcomed by regulars after attending just a few times. Getting involved in volunteer activities is simple and very much appreciated. We love this church and are glad to have landed here."

"We recently moved to the Joplin area from out of state, and one of our top priorities was to find a new church home, so we spent a couple of months visiting various churches in the area. College Heights is a fairly large church, but out of all the churches my husband and I visited, we got the friendliest welcome there. Several times the people sitting around us at the service came up to us, introduced themselves and welcomed us to their church. And the church has a staff member whose job is to help new people navigate the church options and get connected, and she is awesome! We attended a Sunday morning community group, and we already feel like we have a lot of new friends. We have decided to make College Heights our home church and are excited to get involved and be part of this amazing family!"

The people here welcomed us with open arms and gave us the tools and guidance to grow. Over the years, my wife and I have brought a couple of kids into the world. Our 6-year-old son loved going to CH kids. Our 10-month-old daughter is well taken care of as well. It's been a wonderful church to attend."

"I've been a member of this Church for the past 17 years and a volunteer in guest services for about the last 10 years. I have personally witnessed that this Church tries very hard to make sure visitors and regular attenders are made to feel very warm and welcome each and every Sunday. They are always looking for better ways of handling this to make sure no one feels alone or unwelcome. But sometimes we just accidentally miss someone or a family. I know this Church loves each and every person that comes in and is very inclusive to all groups. A change that has happened lately is now there are blue welcoming stations posted at both atrium doors with volunteers that will gladly help in any way to make your visit feel comfortable, or guide you on how to connect to the Church.
