"Over the course of the last year or so Julie has taken on completing 8 of my deceased mothers quilts that Mom had pieced and were in need of quilting. Although these quilts were not going to be hand quilted as my mom would have done Julie spent much time with me reviewing patterns that would be reminiscent of my mom's work. My brother was so pleased after seeing the outcome of her work that he also had Julie complete his quilts. Some of our quilts were a bit small for today's deep mattresses so upon our request Julie added borders to make Mom's original quilts' overall size larger. I enjoyed finding the complimenting fabrics however this is a task Julie would have readily accepted. Julie took on 2 projects for me that were from start to finish. They were T-shirt quilts and she did a phenomenal job with those as well. I had given my best friend one of my mom's unquilted quilts. She lives in a very large metropolitan area a few hours from here. Long story short my heart sunk to my toes when I saw how it had been quilted...if you could even call it that. A beautiful star quilt with all of that difficult work done by my mom and then that pathetic job some person did. Well, it didn't take long after my bestie seeing all of the other pictures of the beautiful quilts Julie had completed that she decided to have hers redone! It is the difference between night and day when you see it and I feel it now honors my mom's hard work. Her price is very fair and reasonable for the craftsmanship you receive. She kept in touch with me about all of the projects so I always felt comfortable with her having my treasures. Be sure to talk about what is important to you. Don't be afraid to ask questions. She currently is working on my very last little project. A block my grandmother made in the 1930s. She is finishing it to match its mates that are in a quilt my mom completed.
