Modest Mike's Mods

"Mike modded my early 2010's Boss BD-2 Blues Driver and MT-2 Metal Zone pedals. The tone difference between stock and Mike's mods are night and day! I always found both pedals kind of ice-pick in the ears, the BD-2 more so than the MT-2. After attempting to use them with different amps and other pedals, like many they were relegated to the spare pedal drawer. I recently found Mike's website and recalled that years back I owned a CE-2 he had modded - that was a great chorus and only sold it because finances were tough. Mike's prices are outstanding so rather than eBaying my pedals I sent them to him. Totally worth it! So many usable sounds now and they work with all my amps (I have a small collection). Most amazingly, I can use them with my Roland JC-22, and if you've ever played a Jazz Chorus you know they can be finicky! Both pedals have usable settings throughout the tone/gain ranges. Like others, I really dig the MT-2 setup for rock tones with less scooped mids but it can chug also. Great communications and a solid investment if you got older pedals or want to go retro and find them on Reverb or eBay. Now I'm searching for another CE-2 to complete my old-school Boss board!"
