Camp Branch Beach

"We went Memorial Day weekend this year, 2023. Before that, I was a kid the last time I went. I didn’t get in the water, but the wife and kids did. They didn’t stay in for long, because they said the water smelled like sewage. The water was cleared for swimming at Camp Branch Beach, but it wasn’t a good experience for them. The other popular beach in the area had E. coli levels too high, and was not open for swimming. We might have to give it another try some other time. But this trip was a little bit of a let down. If you are planning on swimming, make sure the beaches are cleared for such activities before your visit."

"Pretty clean beach. Nice places to post up and have a picnic. Kid friendly. You'll need a cooler, bug spray, sun screen and towels. Also you only pay per car instead of per person so the price is unbeatable!"

"We have been going here for 4 years now to have a camping weekend. Camp branch has many good spots to place your camping. There are restrooms close to all spots. A shower cabin with warm and cold water. It is clean and safe. We have never have an issue. They also have a lake beach area and a marine were you can rent a boat or take your own of you prefer."

"We always love it here!!! Not as crowded this year due to Covid, so the kids had more fun since they had more room to play!!! But crowded or not, they always have fun!!! The sand is hot as coals but the water feels great!!! They have it roped off so boats and jet skiers can't come through!!! They have tables so we get to eat our lunch here!!! They have life vests for little ones they can use, PLEASE RETURN WHEN DONE!!! They even get to rinse off before we get back in the car to go back to the campground!!! All in all, 9/10!!! The ONLY thing that could make it better would be lines in the parking lot!!! I always park in front of the concrete barrier but lines would be great!!!"

"Quiet lakefront campground offering basic, 30 amp and 50 amp electric sites. Electric extends to the lakeside sites. My biggest complaint is lack of shade at most sites. On the plus side, fairly large sites and a lot of open space especially on C and D loops."
