"Post This is a long read but it is something that has happened to me as of recently and If I could give negative stars I would. Hopefully my experience will be guidance for other women especially of color to be aware of this person and how unprofessional and dangerous and negligent he is. I have been bleeding everyday for the past 3 months it had been getting worse so I made an appointment with Merkley it was weeks out but I knew something was wrong with my body. Instead of wanting to know why I’m continually bleeding he was just throwing birth control options at me and gambling to see if it will work for me.every time I would say I’m bleeding a lot like goofball sized clots he said spotting is normal for women on birth control. He then said why don’t I give menstrual cups a try when I’m want to have a normal period and I feel like I’m bleeding out.I told him I’m losing hair out of breath and dizzy with bad headaches and pale so He sent for labs to be done. I asked for a doctors note for work because I was not feeling good and he said no that there isn’t a reason for me to not work and that they are cracking down on who gets dr notes. I am now hospitalized because my blood lvls are dangerously low. I decided that night he would no longer be my obgyn and reported his behavior in downplaying my symptoms and not listening to me and telling them I don’t want him to be my doctor. In the morning he cornered me in my room and started telling me he was going to be operating on me and I politely and calmly told him” I honestly prefer you to not be my obgyn anymore.” That’s when his facial expression changed to anger and he stood up and towered over me and started telling me that he’s glad because I am one of the most belligerent hysterical patients he’s ever had to deal with and that he was already planning on firing me as one of his patients because I am too difficult and that he will not perform this surgery and that he would make sure to talk to his other colleagues in the area for them not to do surgery on me either. He is a tall man standing over a 5 ft 1 girl who is sitting. He then stormed out and I was left deeply hurt and my past traumas flooded over me. I couldn’t breathe or move as I fell for the nurses button frantically. She comes in and I tried to tell her that he had just verbally attacked and threatened me. I started to shake and get a panic attack so I did my coping tactics to calm me down until I was able to call for my family I know he violated my patient rights and he should not threaten and attack patients who are already at their weakest and most vulnerable. He saw me as a walking money sign and did not advocate or care for my well being because he had let this period last this long without wanting to find why. He kept me sick and suffering to line his pockets. And he showed that when he let his mask down to tell me how he really felt and i know I made the right decision because I would never let him operate on me and I believe he shouldn’t operate on any woman. He is a heartless immature monster whose ego was hurt when a patient said they didn’t want him as their doctor. Any rational and sane doctor would just accept the patients wishes and kept it moving. And now I’m left with more damaging trauma in a place where I’m supposed to be safe and helped."

"I saw him for 4 years. I live over a hour away. Told me I had abnormal test results and to come back at 8am for an appt but cancelled on me at 7:50 even though I was already there. He never told me anything was abnormal with tests (other than the one time but after cancelling never discussed what it was) but when I saw another doctor they asked why I hadn’t been seen for other issues. Not a bad doctor but not a good one."

"I have never in my life seen a worse Dr. I don’t even want to give one star. He was not concerned about anything at all I told him and he didn’t even examine me at all after being in the hospital and taken by ambulance to another and being told I need surgery I went to his office for him to stay on his phone the whole time I tried to talk about my situation and then tell me it has nothing to do with my ovaries or cysts that keep rupturing and putting me in the hospital. This doctor is. Quack! Save urself and go somewhere else!!! Since I went and got a second opinion I am going into have the surgery I have needed so I don’t end up dead from sepsis every time my cysts rupture."
