"Zurich Automotive Extended Warranty is a COMPLETE Waste of Money. I paid $2,999.00 for my vehicle. I talked to Zurich regarding repairs needed and emailed them an Estimate of what was needed on my vehicle. I waited 24 days after a phone call and 2 emails to see what the status was, so my vehicle could get repaired. I contacted the claims dept. 24 days after the initial claim estimate was sent in and was told it was being denied, because a conflict of interest. Zurich stated that our business with ASE Certified Technicians could not perform the work and the work wasn't authorized. The work is real and if I had been told that upfront, I could have taken my vehicle in to another automotive shop that I have used in the past. The work has not been performed at this time, but it needs to be done so my vehicle will function safely. What a RIP OFF! UPDATE 11-29-2021: It has been over 2 months now and I have not received any compensation to get my vehicle repaired. I have also not received any correspondence through mail that I was supposed to have received 2 months ago. I also sent an email to their main email address on their website and also No Response. Very Poor Customer Service as well as Management!!"
"Horrible company. Wish I could give less than 1 star. DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR EXTENDED WARRANTY/GAP INSURANCE ON YOUR VEHICLE!!!!!! They are complete trash as a company. They are only open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. So when my car wouldn’t start, I had to wait all weekend to see about what would and would not be covered by them. They proceeded to tell me “they can’t discuss what can and can not be covered but they can mail me the information.” They proceeded to tell me “it’ll be mailed out to you within 5-7 business days.” I’ve already not had my car for 3 days because of you. Now I have to wait another 5-7 to even see if they will cover what’s wrong with my car. You know, unless I wanna pay $250 to have my car towed and for a shop to send in whatever to them first. They don’t care about the customer, they only care about their $1. I bet it is nice working there sense your basically scamming people out of their money."
"On July 25, 2018 around 9:00 AM, my car was totaled by a work truck who's employer was covered by Zurich insurance. I immediately filed a claim with them afterwards. I have spent many hours/days trying to get in contact with someone/anyone from Zurich to discuss my claim. The representatives I have spoken with have barely been helpful. I was sent papers which I had to get notarized and send back. Then I had to re-do it all because they did not put the correct VIN number on the paperwork. I did receive a call stating that the paperwork I sent was received, they would overnight a check, and my rental car was due back Tuesday. Today is Thursday and I have not received a check. I had to make arrangements for others to transport my daughter to and from daycare and me to and from work. It is mandatory for me to have a car to do my job. Today is August 16th, so it has been a little over 3 weeks ago since this happened. I called the adjuster, the lead, and two managers this morning and had to leave messages since they did not answer the phone. The fifth time I called I asked the receptionist who the CEO was and she had no idea. She forwarded me to someone in a different state who did not answer as well. There is something wrong when you call five different employees and no one answers or calls back. This is incredible poor customer service. It is looking like I am going to have to hire an attorney to get anything accomplished. I am going to have to spend more time and money on my part for being a victim of an accident."
"I did business with this company for 8 years and they cancelled my coverage because zurich decided to pull out of MO. I completely understand their decision to do that but what I don't understand is the 11 day notice that I received and the fact that i've made over 20 phone calls, left countless messages and still can't get anyone to call me back. I've even left messages with Jeff Bahr "the Boss" and he won't call me back. I'm very discouraged to say the least and hurt that I paid over $750,000 in premium and can't get the curtsey of a return call and after all this they want to charge me a 10% cancelation fee."
