"I'm actually surprised to see any negative reviews on this school. The staff is very supportive of students and communication is top-notch. I wouldn't want my 8th grader anywhere else."

"I went to Hocker and it's honestly a very nice environment. It is true that there are a couple of fights but I only remember one really bad one throughout the entire year. Bullying doesn't happen often and it's a very open to the LGBT community. There are a couple of teachers that have a bad name from all the students and my most hated teacher was the 7th grade advanced science teacher from my year. She was rude and wasn't very helpful to the students who needed encouragement and help in her class. She always piled on work and just about every student who had her hated her. Admittedly, I cried several times in her class. But that is just about the only teacher that wasn't good. The academics could use some work but overall it's a good schoool."
