"Unpredictable and unreliable. They're happy to tell riders that their alternative is to take a cab or city transportation. I'm sure most riders would do exactly that if they could afford it. The entire point of this service is to provide a safe, affordable and reliable alternative to public transportation and Uber/Lyft. Sometimes they achieve that. Sometimes they don't. Just don't count on them and you won't be disappointed."

"Tried calling everyday for the past week to get a ride from my university, which is located in a neighboring county serviced almost exclusively by OATS for public transportation, to my home, which is located in a county outside the OATS coverage area, although my home is right down the road from the county line where it begins. I see the OATS buses on that side of the county line pretty regularly as a matter of fact. Finally left a message for the main OATS office in St. Louis or wherever they're located. They informed me there was nothing they could do from their end and to keep calling the dispatcher's number that I'd been calling. After some trying, I finally reached her this morning. She gave me the number of the driver of the route...who informed me they couldn't give me a ride due to the route schedule being literally an all-day (morning and afternoon) route that didn't match with my work/class schedule as well as me living in a county they don't service. The latter of which isn't an issue for me. It's not a problem for me to just walk down the road to their coverage area. Oh well. OATS is a pathetic joke of a bus service. If you're a working person, OATS is probably not for you. That is, assuming you've had the patience to go around in circles to get hold of someone and are lucky enough to get a ride..."

"Schedulers are rude, make many errors and don't own up to them. Very impatient and abrupt. The drivers are great though. The drivers are 5 stars. The customer service agents are zero stars."
