Hawthorn Bank

"Paid off mortgage loan with Hawthorn, even got title deed marked "paid" on left upper hand corner of the document. The following month, Hawthorn charged my checking account fraudulently for another mortgage payment on a mortgage account that is closed/fully paid for. DO NOT use this bank for your mortgage needs. I cannot even imagine how many people they possibly do this to just to earn several $ on interest. Several loan officers did not listen and appear to not understand the simple concept that when an account is closed and fully paid that no payment should be coming into the account. ALARMING! Feds should be looking into this bank for their shady practices."
