"If I could give no stars I would. I filed a claim for a lost phone, only to find it a day later, and boy do I wish I waited to file the claim to avoid this hell. I sent assurant their replacement device and they’ve already send me my $280 deductible back. However, now they will not remove my original device off the imei blacklist. This has been going on for about a month, and I still haven’t gotten any progress. When I call and ask a status, i get told there’s a form that needs to be filed and it should take only 2-3 business days to process. I’ve been calling them and trying to work on this reversal since December 9th, and here I am on January 8th and I’m still unable to use my phone and line I’ve been paying spectrum for because of assurant. Every time I call I get a rep tell me they understand how frustrating this is, yet don’t get anything done to fix their mistakes. My most recent time calling the rep asked for my Apple ID information that has no connection to the phone and device I have an issue with. Every other rep was able to search by the phone number on the device that’s an issue. The rep told me to call back when I wanted to give my Apple ID. This insurance company is an absolute joke."
"Customer service is pathetic. Their website is also pathetic. I can't cancel a claim because I already filed one ? So there website won't let me pay it's just stuck at a claim tracking page telling me it's submitted. It's 2023 and they can't figure out how to send a link for payment. So I call, They're telling me I need to pay 99$ when the website was gonna let me pay $29 before the page broke. What a rip off. No wonder you guys have 1 star. I'll be leaving a BBB review as well."
"The postal service lost my returned phone, the tracking from USPS shows they are in possession of the device and Assurant has charged me for the return device and this has been going on for months. Their issue should be with the USPS, not me. They refuse to credit the nonreturn fee charged to my T-Mobile account because they “have not received the device”. Four different Assurant repentance have told me they would open a trace and this has been going on since July and still no resolution."
"I had a house fire a month ago that knocked out the electrical for my home. I have been trying to get in touch with my desk adjuster for a month now. I’ve called repeatedly, left a few voicemails, and even an email. I have two kids and one on the way and I feel like I am being intentionally ignored. He managed to call back the first time, but I missed the call and since then it’s been zero response from this guy. This is one of the worst experiences I could have possibly gone through. I get sent to voicemail every time, and this isn’t just a housefire that happened. This is other people’s lives that is getting interfered with when things like these happen. I was told I would have to make myself a nuisance before I even get to he heard by my own desk adjuster. Their job is to literally help. I’m going to be making calls to see if we can redo everything and file a claim elsewhere, because this can’t be the only insurance company. If your employers have to warn the people in need of service that they’ll have to constantly make a nuisance of themselves, then it is a serious problem."
